met this guy just split from his wife been out a few times had a few drinks seemed to be really into me,then didnt bother texting me for 5 days I didnt because I dont want to chase him,i reply he takes two days to write back saying we will have to mmet up soon ,i havent replyed was a few days ago because i dont want to chase him,he is busy with work,but iam not sure if he is playing cool or not interested thanks

I am sorry you seem to have come up against a problem. All the answers have predicted a Doomsday but I for one woul d like to take a more positive attitude. My child, understand that this guy has recently separated from his wife. The precise background of this breakup is not known. However, whichever way it was it must have had a numbing effect and it makes a man tread warily to walk the same path again. However, like you, he must be a young man and the youth must be making its insistent demands.which has brought you two together.However, looking to the background you have to be prepared for these bumps on the way for some time.You also say that he is a busy man and may be he is unable to spare much time to mend his broken life.Try to play along unmindful of some apparent signs of coldness. Keep in touch with occasioal phonecalls talking about general matters. If you have some common friends you can try to fathom his depth by adroit questions through them. so you know where you stand.But do not try to make him jealous by flirting with other men, not especailly in front of him.If his previous experience was not good it would just lead to his clampig up. Sounds like this guy isn't really back on the market yet.
Might not even be separated if I know my gender.
You can chase a little. But be playful, not desperate.
Just off hand though, this doesn't sound cool, it sounds glacial. So just off hand I'd say he's not that interested OR his marital issues are still unresolved.

If he has just split up with his wife he could be quite emotional at present and feeling that women are perhaps to be avoided. Now is the time he wants to be with his mates, beer and football.
pls note that men and time is not the same as women and time. However after a week I would send him a gentle hint that a drink would be nice and then give up if he still is not keen.

If he really wanted to spend time with you then he would make time.... Sounds like your more just a weekend warrior. Let him go, If you want to hook up every now and then, thats cool. Maybe that will lead to something, but it dont sound like it. Just find a dude that does call and text you back.... For every knucklehead that plays it cool and dont call or really isnt interested, There is probably another 5 that would LOVE to talk to you and appreciate you diggin them back. ;)

Alot of times people are really scared of being rejected. I know when i first asked a girl out i was scared that she wouldnt like me. Alot of guys to are slow about the relationship thing not all guys are go getters when it comes to dating. He might often forget to check his texts also if he is really busy. The only true way to know is to jsut ask him or if you like him tell him you like him and see how he reacts. He might really like you but after his divorce it could have damaged his confidence with relationships also.

If you like him then text him back. I think it's a little to early to tell if he likes you, but him wanting to see you is a good sign. Just remember that he just left his wife and make sure that your not the "rebound" girl.

My advice? Be careful .... he's on the rebound and his emotions are probably all over the place, even though he's appearing cool. Look for someone more stable who can offer you what you want. There are thousands of them out there ......

I would give up on this one....its a none starter. If he was interested in you, he would be all over you like a rash. he clearly is just keeping his options open.
