The skin underneath stings, I was wondering if anyone knew of a cream to relieve the pain in this area that shouldn't normally be so exposed.

There's nothing you can do except to endure the pain. However, to protect it and to keep the area clean put a band-aid over it. It should heal up in a couple of days. The pain will become less and less annoying.

You have a couple of options to take the sting away...

Neosporen (Sorry if it's spelled wrong) makes a cream that numbs a little but if you don't have that then use Orijel, the stuff you put on a tooth to numb it in your mouth!

It is alcohol based so it will sting for the first second or two but then it will go numb and the alcahol will help disinfect the wounded skin...

If you don't have that then, now I swear I'm not making this up, use "Feminin Anti-Itch" cream like Vagisil.

The active ingredient in EVERYTHING I have mentioned is Benzocaine or Lidocaine.

They are know as External Analgesics and numb on contact.

They have soothing and healing ingredients in them too like Vitamins E, A, & D or Aloe.

It will help it heal AND help it feel better!

Good luck!
