How many things are there that are Pagan?
Would we find ourselves unable to put flowers on a loved ones grave if we avoided it because it was a Pagan practice.
Would we not be able to wear a certain color of clothing?
Would we have to avoid certain foods.
Could we have a birthday party for a 5 year old grandbaby.
Would we have to do away with the virgin birth?

I think you get my meaning here, at least I hope that you do.Now will we allow satan to lock us up in a box so that we are afraid to do anything, or will we walk in the spirit, celebrating our own holidays without fear of man?

Romans 14:20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

SISTER SANDY: I like your thinking here. Now carry it on to the next level. How can we stand against something by avoiding it.I recognize Christmas as my Saviour's Birth.I know that Dec 25 is not the actual day.I know that santa has nothing to do with Christmas.I can buy my grandbaby a gift, tell them about the birth of Jesus, the most wonderful gift of all, exort my Lord by remembering His Birth of a virgin and there is nothing Pagan about it.
I lift up my foot, look at the bottom of my shoe, and wave the Word of God at satan because that is where that thief is in my life.Under my feet and there is where he will stay. I am free from the law of sin and death.I am a new man, created in the image of my Father.

I follow your point brother Don. But I believe that when it comes to the Work and Person of Christ then there is NO diluting and NO compromise.

He stood for us against ALL things. He stood against Sin. Satan. The World. Death. We as His Church should stand against anything false that will include or target Him.

There is an interesting person that is recorded in Revelation 2:13 in the Church at Pergamos. His name was " Antipas"

" I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is, and you hold fast My name and have not denied My faith even int he days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you where Satan dwells."

This church was near the throne of satan. YET there was one who was called Antipas. Do you know what his name means brother Don? It means "Against All." This one did not compromise.. He stood against anything that was against the Work and Person of Christ. Anything that deviated from the Testimony of Jesus.

May we rise up as the Antipas of our day. Not compromising. That having seen something of the Lord we will follow Him dispite everything else. May we love Him more than our own selves.

Good Question.
Your sister

Hello again brother Don.
I do hear you. Brother. I simply do not avoid Christmas.. I completely Reject it as having any association with the Lord. The " next level " after being shown that it is evil is to come away from it.

If I want to gift someone that I love with a gift then I will do this but NOT with any mixture.

I do recognise our Lord's incarnation and all His accomplishments in the way that HE ASKED us to.
He has not asked us to do too many things brother. But He did ask us to break the bread and drink the wine at His Table. THIS is the Table that He presides over and has set for us to remember His Incarnation, Human living, Crucifixion, Death, Resurrection, Ascension, Enthronement and Glorification.
We are told not to conform to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

I take this way brother. I know that it seems unreasonable. But after having my mind renewed away from this mixture for years it just gets clear and clear.

I just love keeping it simple. Its just the bread and wine brother...

Loving You in Christ

Merry Meet I am solitary Wiccan, I bring Habenero peppers, deviled eggs, ( From my experience in churches Christians love deviled eggs why there are called deviled, I have no idea) and a huge bowl of my hot Texas Chili. Jesus taught love and peace and associeted with those other Jews ignored or thought evil. I have seen A man who was once so bad he was shot by police trying to kill him and he spent more than half his life in prison. He was 35 back then and on a 25 year parole and withing three years I saw this man change after becoming a Christian to the point he received a full pardon. Something no one thought possible. So my point is Christianity can change some people for great good. By the way this man is now in his 60's and has not been in trouble with the law since becoming Christian. BB

1 Cor 8:7 Howbeit [there is] not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat [it] as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

God is interested in the motives of our heart. Everything we strive to say or do should glorify our heavanly Father. Will we be perfect? No, He doesnt expect us to be because we are still in this flesh. So we need & should heed the coviction of the Holy Spirit to lead us. Once we fall into the trap our rationalizing our motives, we fall prey to the will of our flesh & go down the road of legalism. What does the Holy Spirit in you say about these things? Will these things influence you to fall away from God? Hope this helps. Love you brother! In Christ, Dr. G™

LOL, your question details remembered me the arguments I used to have the Jehovah Witnesses. You're right, we will not be able even to wear a wedding ring or say "bless you" when a person sneezes because both habits come from pagan customs. The main point many people don't realize is that God is not only divine, ...He is wise and He knows why we do what we do, those who have evil reasons and those who don't.

Letter from Jesus about Christmas

Dear Children,

It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season. Maybe you've forgotten that I wasn't actually born during this time of the year and that it was some of your predecessors who decided to celebrate My birthday on what was actually a time of pagan festival. Although I do appreciate being
remembered ANYTIME.

How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be
most easily understood by those of you who have been
blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the
town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting my birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santa's and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn. If all My followers did that there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a
holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree.
Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1 - 8.

If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth
here is my wish list. Choose something from it:

1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My
birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely
this time of year. I know, they tell Me all the time.

2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone
cares about them.

3. Instead of writing George complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write and tell him that you'll be praying for him and his family this
year. Then follow up. It will be nice hearing from you again.

4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't
afford and they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them.

5. Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and
FORGIVE him or her.

6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so
alone and hopeless? Since you don't know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile; it could make the difference.

7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town
calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't
allowed to wish you a "Merry Christmas" that doesn't keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn't make so much money on that
day they'd close and let t heir e employees spend the day at home with their families

8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary, especially ones who take My love and
Good News to those who have never heard My name.

9. Here's a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have no "Christmas"
tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don't know them, buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Salvation Army, or some other charity which believes in Me and they will make the delivery for you.

10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief
in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do things in secret that you wouldn't do in My presence. Let
people know by your actions that you are one of mine.

Don't forget; I am God and can take care of Myself. Just love Me and do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest. Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I'll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And do have
a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and remember:

"I LOVE YOU," JESUS

The way I look at it is all I have to do as a Gentile is refrain from sexual immorality and blood sacrifices..I will look at those Pagan traditions as a connection with my Pagan ancestors and dedicate the celebrating to Jesus.
Merry Christmas!
