Let's see hypothetically, you can disprove evolution to a point that most of the credible scientists in the world would agree. Not likely, but let's say it for the sake of argument (Don't post links, you can post those on the 10 evolution argument posts per day)
How would this prove a Christian God? Why not Allah? Odin? Giant Turtle God? There are a lot of religions that have the concept of deity or deities creating the Earth. If so, it would make none of them more credible than the other.
If anything, it would just boost deists.

georgemichael - It is not seen as false in the general scientific community at ALL. My sources are biology professors and tons of research from respectable journals across the world. Which I consider more reliable sources than anyone on Y!, ESPECIALLY on R&S.
And trying to reverse a question on me. An ancient and worn-out , but apparently you ignored my reasoning. Then apparently the Christian God is proved with thousands of other deities. We better make room for tons more churches
Disproving something doesn't prove another thing, unless the world is 2 parts, which only the most simple-minded would believe.
Proving I didn't go to the movies yesterday doesn't prove I went to the park.

It wouldn't. I believe all gods and goddesses have the same credibility. For instance, I celebrate Christmas as the birthday of Jesus, Mithra, Horus, Krishnu, Buddha Sakia, and Hesus, as well as the holiday of Yule. I also celebrate Saturnalia, Cerealia, Feriae Marti, Kronia, and many other holidays.
Not because I necessarily believe in all of them, though. Every holiday has a fun secular side.

It wouldn't prove a specifically Christian God, but it would prove that there may be a god. For all we know, it could be a giant pink bunny rabit that breathes ozone-depleting gasses and whos tears are made of Ginger ale.
Personally, I believe the THEORY of evolution is anything but true. Granted, natural selection is true to an extent. Charles Darwin himself said that if a complex biological machine existed, his theory would fall apart. And, guess what, the Flagellum Motor is such a machine.
By making this following statement, I am hereby marking myself as "unreliable in this topic": I am a Christian myself. However, disproving evolution would not prove that Christianity is true, it just proves that there may be a god, even a giant pink bunny rabit that breathes ozone-depleting gasses, and whos tears are made of Ginger ale.
Edit:
I'd prefer you refrain from petty insults like calling people simple-minded. It just seems so... immature?
And, I would say, that the "most credible scientists in the world" are too... logical (?) to believe in something as illogical as a God.
Second Edit:
Antihero, true evolution may be seperate from theology, but since it is merely a theory, it too must be accepted by faith. Evolution is not a fact. Just like Atheism is a religion, as strange as that sounds.

i don't know what part of the science community you get your info from... but that is precisely what is happening before us. evolution is being revealed as the fraud it is.
in answer to your question, any evolutionist will tell you that evolution doesn't so much disprove God as it does provide an alternative. to believe in a God is just too incredible for them, so they believe in this. all science can answer is what?... only faith can explain why?
and honestly among the genuine scientific minds of the world this theory has been and already is dead. the rest of the world wants to argue about it though because it is no longer a matter of science, but a matter of the heart... we have our life-styles wrapped up in this, and that is why no one can just let it be and move on.
i could also turn this question around and ask if evolution is indeed false as it is, how does that not prove the Christian God?

God may well be shown outdoors of evolution. those are some proofs: The Bible has a impressive inner unity in spite of being written over 1000's of years with the help of people of multiple social training, or maybe languages. The prophecies interior the Bible have come real. alongside with ones that have manuscripts that are older than the success of the prophecy. This is composed of the prophecies in Daniel 2 which hide Western background to the present day, the single that Jericho could be rebuilt, however the builder’s oldest and youngest sons could die in the process the construction, and the single approximately Babylon never being rebuilt. in case you desire to disprove Christianity and Judaism in basic terms bypass rebuild Jerusalem. listed here are another motives for perception: The Jews have been a small band of people who lived interior the area of Mesopotamia interior the time of the Phoenicians, the Lydians, and so on. Even the Babylonians have been absorbed or destroyed. Why do the Jews proceed to outlive and prosper with their lifestyle intact in spite of in basic terms approximately known hatred? As an novice historian i could say that the Jews could have been wiped out in the previous written background. in spite of the undeniable fact that, as a Bible pupil i'm not shocked. It replaced into in basic terms because of the fact the Bible predicted it may well be. This same argument may well be made for the survival of Christianity. The Christians have been an extremely small band of an off shoot of a unpopular faith. they could have been wiped out with the help of the Jews and / or the Romans interior the existence of the apostles. yet, in basic terms 3 hundred years later, we detect Constintine changing to maintain his empire for splitting because of the fact there are too many Christians for the Roman military to subdue them. Anthropology Biblical cities not recorded in secular works have been got here across interior the circumstances the Bible predicts. own info: What i understand for useful is that God provides me peace previous my mind's eye, and is slowly changing me from my bitter, violent previous right into a kinder, gentler individual. i understand which you do not supply this way of info plenty credibility, yet in my journey it can't be denied. Psychology: The venom of the anti-non secular is between the suitable proofs of religion. commonly human beings do not combat against issues they don't have faith in with great pastime. They do combat against issues they understand are real, that they are in a position to't handle that way.

It doesn't. But surely man arrived on earth somehow.
But your question proves a point that I have been making for a long time, that is, that the theory of evolution is being used by many to disprove God.
Btw, A Creator is the only logical answer.

It wouldn't, anymore than proof of evolution would disprove the existance of God. Unrelated.

The logical thing to do would be to read and compare all of their "sacred writings" in order to determine if one is more probable than the others.
