She controls the sitations. She cries and screams, he gives her what she wants. He doesnt follow through on anything, even punishment. When we first moved in, he wanted my help and she listened to me very well. He then would tell her I am mean. Now he is afraid if I continue that she will want to live with us, therefore, he asked me to longer intervine in the situation. It is so hard. I leave the room now when she throughs a fit, but that is not helping this little girl. She needs to understand her actions are wrong. how do i get him to see the light????

Just tell him it would be a good idea. Just say it nicely. Say you will go with him.

You don't. It's his problem. You leave him to it and find a new partner. I can nearly guarantee you're going to have a hard life if you stay and go on to have your own children with this guy. Your parenting philosophy is too different. At least you found out now. Cut your losses.

been there done that

He is going about raising her the wrong way. If he cant pick up a book and understand what he is doing wrong, leave him... do you really want to go throught those battles in parenting hood if you have a child to him.
I'd really hope not....

Just tell her you think she should take classes.

The only thing I caution you about is the way you tell her.

Like the next time the 3 year old misbehaves and is too outrageous, simply suggest it in a caring matter.

"If you are going to raise a spoiled brat terrorist, do it somewhere other than my apartment. Take her somewhere else for visitation, because if I am not allowed to control the situation, I refuse to sit her and listen to her scream while you violate every single rule of parenthood."

You are getting a picture of what your life will be like if you marry this guy -- don't walk RUN TO THE CLOSEST DOOR and leave this character and his charming daughter to one another.
