The thought of Mike Huckabee even being consisdered a possible Republican nominee gives me horrible nightmares. I would not think it beyond him to suggest such a ridiculous thing. He obviously has little grasp of scientific method or of modern biology and medicine.

I am a life long Arkansan who watched civil rights, religious tolerance, environmental responsibility, education and public health decline under his administration OFTEN under the guise of his "reforms" of those areas said to be to meet needs.

If he becomes President, I believe that would make me seriously want to leave the United States, my home, and a land I LOVE. I am NOT joking. We have had presidents I've seriously disliked before ( including our current embarrassment ) but I sincerely believe that Huckabee would be far worse for our nation in both the eyes of the world and to steer our nation to unity and support of the Constitution and our civil rights. I don't think our nation could take it, quite frankly. I know what legacy he left here in Arkansas. It is only the religious fundamentalists that I meet here in Arkansas who praise him. Arkansas has a very large Baptist population and even though many Baptists I personally know disliked his policies..without fail they will always mention how nice it was that a Baptist minister was governor!

I fail to see how that made him an effective leader. His record certainly does not reflect great leadership.

I have no problems with anyone of ANY faith or of No faith becoming president. I have problems with someone who wants to pander to fundamentlist agendas to turn this country into a theocracy.
One of his prize projects was the "Covenant Marriage Law"..please read how this has become a nightmare for many couples seeking divorce and how the choice is also seen as less appealing to the many Christians who at first supported his idea.

If Huckabee becomes president, I'll become a European, so I really won't give a damn.

And since Jesus is helping him in the polls, it just might happen.

I'm not at all impressed with Huckabee. I just don't understand people who flaunt their ignorance. ((((Zilla)))))
