A poor Muslim gentleman was trying hard to search for his 1 dollar, lost in a stinking gutter, reciting all the time--- O Jesus, O Jesus, please help me find my money from this gutter. One Christian passerby asked the Muslim gentleman as to why he is not asking help from Allah. To this he replied, why should I, unnecessarily trouble My Allah to dig into this bloody stinking drain, let the Jesus do the dirty task?

They are two names for the same God.
Allah is God and God is Allah.
The benefit with the name Allah is that is not male or female nor can it be made into a plural noun. It cannot be changed.
Like the creed of Islam that states that God is one. And one in Arabic is not a number.

Allah is one, there is no other God but Allah. And when you say "does god believe in allah" you are implying that there are two gods. But there isn't, only one God.

There are many names for the atrributes of God. Elohim is a name that says that God has many faces (attributes). Different cultures and religions call God by many different names. The names are different but they all call on the one Creator God.
