Sure!

Depression has an actual function in the body - it's the state you feel while your brain is repairing itself, or re-writing information. Most of this takes place while you are sleeping, but sometimes, people get stuck in that state.

I've been learning a lot about depression here:

it's really helped me get over my own battles with depression. They helped me identify what was causing my depression, and what I could do to stop it. Some of the stuff, I hadn't even thought was that big a deal! But it all added up!

Anyhow, now I know when I feel depressed, it's my brain trying to get me to pay attention to something in my life. I can sit down and think things over for a few minutes - and I'm all better! Yay me!

No. This can be a form of depression, which needs to be treated. Usually associated with being bi-polar.

Do you have times when you feel euphoric and don't care about the consequences of things you do? Bi-polar depression goes in cycles.

My fiance has an episode every 4 months when the seasons change. Other people are monthly. It's even possible for it to be so bad that it's a daily think, like a severe mood swing.

It's not normal to be depressed at all. Granted almost everyone will have a period in their life where they will become depressed, but that does not make it normal.

Read up on it and discuss it with your doctor.

It isn't that uncommon. Does it happen around the same time something else is happening that triggers it, or more on it's own?

Try keeping a diary every day, what you did, what happened, and your mood from 1 to 10. It sounds goofy, but who knows? I know someone with food allergies that get depressed when they eat gluten. It wasn't until she kept a diary that someone finally figured out what set her moods off.

While you're at it, every day also write down 5 things that made the day a good one. It helps focus your mind on the positive. Heck, I know a couple people that cured their depression just with the 5 a day list for a few months.

I did the comparable element. i could be in a concern and ought to arise and stroll around or break out. i ended up happening anti-depressants. As i seem decrease back in my lifestyles, i will see a development, now that my seratonin ranges are common. For me it took an incredibly complicated concern to set them off. in case you have observed this as a development, possibly some drugs ought to be of tremendous help. Or, seeing a therapist ought to help you artwork via the assaults whilst they arrive. i could start up with that, and pass to drugs provided that mandatory. I wish somebody could have helped me out at first. yet once you do pass on drugs, there is unquestionably no longer something incorrect with that, and not something to be embarrassed approximately. determine you notice a physician who's prepared to artwork with you and wait and spot. i'm on my third one, and she or he's surprising. I wager you ought to realize this plenty greater beneficial than you think of you may. applicable now it seems such as you're crushed. that's comprehensible.
