Evolution is for those who do not want to believe in God and need to justify that there is no God by making up strange ideas and that has been happening all throughout history always man will do or think of something so as not to worship God

1. Learn what evolution is
2. You do not have such abilities because those abilities do not put you at an advantage for your habitat, so therefore you do not have said abilities
3. Evolution is not a fact. Evolution is a scientific theory. The fact of the matter is, NOTHING science produces is fact. You have
a. Hypothesis
b. Theory
c. Law
a- a hypothesis is a testable experiment that can be done an infinite amount of times and still produce the same response.
b. A theory is the best explanation that science currently has. It is decided after a hypothesis has been proven hundreds of times.
c. A scientific law is damn near impossible to prove wrong. IE Newton's laws of physics. (Those however do break down at the subatomic level and therefore there is a search for a "gravitron" which is a subatomic gravity particle)

I was going to say something sarcastic but then I realized that this is a pretty good question.
The answer is that every feature of living organisms is the result of competing selection pressures. For example, a starfish has a much simpler organization than a human being. Presumably that is the reason why they can regenerate limbs and we cannot. Our more complex organization allows us to occupy certain ecological niches unavailable to starfish; however, this comes at a price, not being able to regenerate lost limbs.
We actually do have some limited capacity for echolocation. Blind people have a sense they describe as "facial vision," which helps them get around. If you cover their faces, their "facial vision" remains intact, but if you plug their ears, their "facial vision" disappears.
So why isn't our echolocation capacity as advanced as that of bats? Presumably that would take up neural circuits that we use for other, more important functions. Or, alternatively, we could just evolve bigger heads, but then that would create other problems, such as making childbirth more difficult. See what I mean about competing selection pressures?
The more I think about it, the more I think this is a good question. Keep asking questions, and keep learning.

You're not any more evolved than any other creature.
Apparently you are under the impression that mankind is supposed to be perfect and/or that he is no longer evolving.
Neither of those things are true.
(And let me tell you something very important. You obviously know nothing about evolution. I know, that's a terrible thing for me to say, and I'm sure it just made you very angry. But as I said... it's obvious. You don't understand evolution at all. With that in mind, don't you think you should study it, at least a little bit, before you decide that it's somehow "wrong"? I mean, I'm an atheist, and I've studied the bible extensively. In fact, that's how I became an atheist. I was a Christian, and I studied the bible in an attempt to strengthen my faith. I studied it, and learned that it was "wrong". I didn't decide beforehand that it was wrong. In fact, I decided beforehand that it was right. I changed my mind after I did the research. You haven't done that with evolution.
Study the subject. You've got nothing to fear, right? Learning something about it isn't going to change your mind, right? Well then, study up, and then come on back here and tell all of us dirty atheists why it's wrong. With a proper study of it, you should be able to make short work of it, right?
See you in a bit)

Humans are NOT the most evolved creature, except for the brain. Features such as regeneration require resources. If the cost of the resources exceeds the value of the product, evolution won't spend them. It is not critical to reproductive survival that you be able to re-grow an arm. Evolution is a proven fact; proof details are available on request. (Please provide an e-mail address.)

You don't have re-generation capabilities because it is not essential to your survival. (hence, it is highly unlikely that you will need to grow an extra limb.) You don't have echo and night vision because you have photo-sensitive vision, are not nocturnal and share the same photon collecting interpretation software as a million other creatures. Humans never had any of these abilities because they were not essential to our survival. Where did you go to school? This level of uneducated naivety truly astounds me!

i don't agree with the theory of evolution, but it would answer you by saying that because humans don't need those things, they eventually, i don't know, fell off of our bodies over time...
evolution has been entirely demerited, but that isn't taught in school... we're taught that its a fact instead of the truth, that it is indeed a theory.
for everyone who supports evolution and can't figure out why Christians don't put too much stock in it, check out the book "The Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel. I think it will be very informative since most people can't explain all the details in a simple yahoo debate. lol i would try to give a synopsis but its way complicated and you'd get so much more by checking out the book. I hope it helps!

It's okay to question Evolution. The best way to improve a theory is to look for faults and then improve upon them. Scientists have been doing this for all theories throughout human history--Evolution is of no exception.
Though, Creationism isn't a science, since we have no hard proof for it over than an ancient book.

Where on earth would you get that idea? Why would you expect to have the abilities of a starfish? Are you a Starfish? No, then why would you expect to have any abilities like one.
Sigh, no wonder the Atheists laugh so hard at these kinds of questions.

Every organism on earth is evolved equally. There's no such thing as being more evolved than something else. I guess the obvious reason you don't have the characteristics of sea creatures is that you don't have to survive under the sea.

You didn't evolve along the same branch as starfish, seagulls, bats or cats. Those traits wouldn't just jump to another branch simply because they are useful in the branch they're in. Each branch carries the traits useful to that branch.
