I will probably stir up a little controversy here but sometimes care full thought is good. The rapture doesn't exist. It is a coined word from the La ten translation. However, the harpazo does. I Thes 4:17. The dead are raised first then those who are alive are caught up (harpazo). What I have found as interesting is that in verse 15 of I Thes 4:15 speaks of those "which are alive and remain unto the coming (parousia) of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. My thinking here that those who are alive and remain are the remnant of the church.

In Matthew 24 Jesus goes to great lengths to describe the events leading up to the parousia. The point of discussion would be is the parousia mentioned in Matthew 24 the same one as in I Thes 4:15. I have yet to find a scripture that declares clearly that there are two parousia's.

For those who are clearly pre trib I want to say that personally Hal Lindsey is one of my hero's as was the late Zola Levitt both avowed pre trib rapture teachers. I simply have not found any clear evidence that doesn't require interpolation to support a pre trib rapture.

if there's a "pre-trib" rapture then why are the weeds gathered first (matt 13:30), and all things that do iniquity and offend (matt 13:41)?? Prov 10:30 "The righteous will NEVER be moved, but the wicked will not dwell in the land"

When the Messiah returns, and He only comes back ONCE, every eye will see Him and every knee will bow. And His return will come with lightening and with the sound of trumpets and it comes AFTER the tribulation -

Matthew 24:29
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Amos 9:10
All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword,
who say, 'Disaster shall not overtake or meet us.'

I tried emailing Jack to discuss the rapture but he gets fed up real quick with people who try to say otherwise

The Jews shall ascend first to keep the gates of Heaven. This is supposedly what they were chosen for and it's documented somewhere in either or both the NT and/or the OT. So in other words the Jews will disappear and go to Heaven and man the gates for God. It will happen near the conclusion of the "end of days". That'll start when the earth has had 50 continuous years of peace...yeah like that's going to happen. PEACE & Happy Holidays!
