I'm on my schools varsity tennis team and I beat my friend whos on the boys team in a practice set, and hes such a sore loser! I was picking up balls outside the court and I heard him tell his friends he was tired so he let me win. Do you think he really let me win or is he just being a jerk?

sounds like hes just being a jerk
there are peoplelike this i come across all the time
they are so up themselves they cant take losing and so make stupid excuses
a lot of these people have inferiority complexes and cant take being below people

Don't take it so seriously, if you are. If might be saying that, but his friends wont believe him entirely. It sort of a joking around type of thing.
But if you want, you can just interpret as him being a jerk. He was just trying to level his manly bravado after being beaten by a girl. Some guys do that.

He is acting like a child, which he is. Teenage boys mature a lot slower than girls. He is probably still stuck at the stage where he thinks that boys always beat girls at athletics.
Don't worry. You won. He knows it, you know it and his friends know it. He's trying to save face.
He was being a jerk, but that is what teenage boys are!

dont you know when you play a boy at any game and the girl wins he sore about it. The majority of boys and men are sore losers with girls.....they all get it over.

i think he is just being a jerk but just let him have his glory becasue a lot of man dont like being losers soo just go along with it.
