Dreams of old houses with red beds. Interpretations??

Question

I've been having dreams with reoccurring details. The dreams are often of old houses, ranging in size from a flat to a mansion. In most of these old houses there is either a storage room with very old dusty things, or an unused/undiscovered room.
In nearly every one of these houses there is a canopy bed with red bedding: sometimes light red, sometimes dark red, sometimes plain, sometimes patterned. The beds are always made, not messy, and are often in places other than a bedroom - ex: in one dream the bed was in an attic and was dusty. Most of the time the bed looks like it hasn't been used in a long time.
Does anyone know what any part of these dreams symbolizes? An old house? An undiscovered room or area? Red bedding or a red bed?
These dreams are extremely vivid and very detailed down to cracks in the floor. I would love to know what they mean...

My thoughts:

Old houses: You and your history/past experiences that you have accumulated.
Undiscovered room: There is a part of you–a passion, a desire for a lover, an art, a career goal, whatever–that is being unfulfilled at the moment.
Red: Same as above. Whatever you are most passionate about.

I would suggest that you find a way to be stimulated in whatever area of your life is lacking. Hope this helped :)

I'm not so sure about WHAT it means, but most ppl can't remember colours in their dreams. i can, because I lucid dream. You would definitely be able to do this. Next time you have a vivd dream, ask out loud in the dream for, say, the colours to turn blue, & it will happen. I've done this. Lucid dreams are about controlling your dreams-u just have to realize in the dream that u are dreaming.
