if a 17 year old has sex with anyone older than 17 he can be charged with statutory rape and causing the delinquency of a minor. Both are serious offenses. This is not true in every state though.
Also if the 17 year old has been emancipated (being declared and adult) the age issue is not true.

This all depends on your state - all states are different on this but 18 is generally the cut-off age for anyone over the age of 18. Anyone over the age of 18 should not be fooling around with anyone under the age of 18 if they want to stay out of jail.

yep...states varie in their laws...In Alabama, 19 is the age of majority, however you can when you are 16 but not to some one 3 or more years older than you. i.e. if you are 16 a person 20 years old can be charged w/ statutory rape.

I stay in Florida and do not have self belief there's a seize 22 situation Florida Stat. Ann. §775.15 No statute of obstacles for sex battery if sufferer stated the offense interior of seventy 2 hours. Florida S 698 (2001) Tolls the statute of seize 22 situation till a sufferer of a sexual offense reaches age 18 even as the sufferer is a minor, or till they record it to authorities, whichever takes position first.

a 12 year old can date a 21 year old without a crime being committed. there is no law against dating at any age. sex is a different matter. theres no definite answer for age of consent, it depends on what state or country you live in.

Varies by state.
But also, it seems like it really depends on who's older.
Older girl, younger boy = Older girl gets 1 month probation.
Older guy, younger girl = Older guy gets 20 years in prison.

Maybe in some states. In some places it's 21. In other countries, the legal age for people to watch porn is 15. Depends really.
