Just painted the bathroom door and now it won't close.

Can anyone explain this?

Could be that paint on top of paint was too much for it. I had a simular prob. and ended up sanding thru the layers of paint then painting again. good luck

Did you stand on a stool when you were painting and possibly hang on the door without realizing it? If you did, you could have pulled the door out of alignment. I find it odd that too much paint can throw off a door, but maybe it's true. I would try rehanging it.

Paint on the edge or top of the door would cause your problem. Remove any you find with a plane, coarse sandpaper or scraper.
