There's no such thing as a Jewish sabbath or a Christian sabbath.
There's just a sabbath !
It's Saturday.
Observe it by taking the day off.
Edit:
Jesus coming out of the tomb on sunday has nothing to do with it.
Oh no. Im wrong !
It does have something to do with it.
Jesus could have risen on saturday but he did'nt.
Why?
Because he decided to rest and stay in the tomb until the sabbath was over.
That why he rose on Sunday!

The Jewish Sabbath is Saturday (Starts Friday night), the Christian Lord's Day, often called the Sabbath, is Sunday. I don't observe Sabbath any more, but as a kid, my mom lit candles, we had a nice meal, before which we said the blessings over the wine and challah.

The sabath is saturday, the day of rest. Worship takes place on Sunday so that the Sabath is kept sacred. Although most christians don't.

The Sabbath is always Saturday...never has it been changed. The Christians also worshipped on the First day of the Week...which they called the Eighth Day...because Christ Jesus was resurrected on that day...it was also called the Lord's Day.
The Sabbath is the day of rest..and for prayers for those who are in rest...those who are reposed. You are to spend that day in prayer and not taking on too many things. Enjoy it by being with your families.
Many times we will have a service on that morning. In the Monasteries...they have service every Saturday.
I am Eastern Orthodox...and traditionally the Christians..celebrated both days with honor.

The Sabath was and still is Saturday.
The christians celebrate the Isis day, namely Sunday.
This was renamed the sabath by the Romans so that the new christianity would sit better with the priests and followers of Isis.
Christianity just stealing another pagan feast..!!
Atheist.

In John 20;1 you can read that He resurrected in sunday and on the 26 you can see that they were together again on sunday to brake the bread.
So the saturday was a Mosaic Law thing and sunday is the remembrance of His resurrection.

The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week and the seventh day of the week is Saturday.
Request the booklet
Which Day is God's Sabbath?
free from 8v@8v.com
It's an eye opener.
It is the only command that says remember.
He knew we would forget.

It's any day, whichever works for you. The Sabbath was made for the people, not the people for the Sabbath. It is a gift, an instruction to spend one day in seven refreshing and recharging oneself. The name of the day, is not important. But it is useful to be able to spend at least part of it with fellow Christians as this helps to build us spiritually

OK I love this one..........
The sabbath was saturday
BUT On SUNDAY MORNING JESUS CAME OUT OF THE TOMB. That is why christians worship on sundays and the cross is empty. He arose from the dead ..their is life after death. We worship a living God and a living Jesus.
Catholics still on saturday and of course their jesus is still impaled and dead on the cross (like their church). Or a helpless infant needing its mother.PS That is why Jesus stated He came to fulfill the sabboth . The day of rest in the grave actually 2 days it was a double sabbath that happens to correct the calander every so many years.
