I want to frame a picture on a window...sounds strange but I want to do it still...but I want to be able to see through the picture but still see the picture...can this be done?

This is a low tech/fun process I learned in art school. I would make a color copy of you want to make transparent, paint several coats of clear Acrylic Gel Medium (paint it on, let it dry, paint it again, several times) on top of your image. When done, let it completely dry and soak the whole thing in some water. When the paper is completely saturated, start to peel off the paper from behind the gel medium. You image will stay and you will have a transparent artsy looking image.

Like the person said above. Print it on a transparency for a full transparent look or you could try vellum. It isn't as see transparent, almost like a ghost image.

You can print it on a transparency film for overhead projectors, but the sun will probably fade it out.

well you know how in schools they have those over heads where the "paper" is see-through...you could get the picture put on one of those so it would be translucent

Leah b's answer was great. I just wonder what kind of paper to print the image on to. Hope nobody minds another question within a question.

i believe theres a special kinda of plastic which can be used for this sort of thing, kinda likea staing glass.. or you could print / make th epicture on something such as low density craft paper, or make the picture out of coloured plastics :) hope this helps
