Go talk to the guy. That's what you should do.
I don't understand the fear or anxiety with talking too the other sex when you're interested in them.
If he even remotely likes you, he'll be just as nervous as you (BTW, being nervous is fine).

Don't laugh, but I had that same problem in high school (I'm waaaay past that age now). I wanted to talk to him so bad, but never did get up the nerve. Something I did do was write down the words to songs that had what I felt about him, then folded it up small enough to fit through the vent in his locker and pushed them in. No, I didn't sign them. And he never knew who did it. One day, if I ever see him again, I'll tell him it was me, so that he won't have to wonder anymore. Wish I had the guts to tell him, though. Then, he wouldn't have ended up with the one he ended up marrying and then divorcing (I'm a one-man woman). So, maybe what you can do is to find a song that says what you want to tell him, SIGN it, then shove it in his locker. Tell him you want to talk to him, and if he's interested, have him meet you somewhere. Or do a mysterious thing and tell him if he wants to know who you are, to meet you at a certain place (a local store or fast food place) at a certain time. Go there early, but only wait a half hour past when you said he should be there. If he doesn't show up, don't fret. He might have a job, or some other obligation. Put another note in, and have it be at a different time or day. Sooner or later, you'll meet. I hope that this guy is worth all of your trouble. Don't be too disappointed if things don't work out. There are plenty of fish in the sea. I found mine. <*)))><

It us NOT "worse" for him to be told you like him. Sometimes that will get "the ball rolling".
How would you talk to any stranger? Find something in the environment to comment on, or ask about, and you are suddenly talking!
Guys are not really from Mars, like the book says. We're just people. He won't bite you.
There is no profit in getting invested emotionally in some one who doesn't know you are alive.
At least, if he "blows you off":.. you'll know not to eat your heart out over him!
Don't take it personally if he is not interested. It is not about you. It's all about him, and where he is right now.
Even if he is not interested, he might have a friend who likes you. You have all the time in the world. No need to rush. Mabe he will change his mind, and remember you were nice to him.

Try to get to know him. If you cant get to know him, he will never be more then a crush. If he looks at you smile. If you get the chance to talk, then do it.
