Last year, Christians made it clear that they consider "Happy Holidays" and "Merry Xmas" an attack on their Religion. Could this incident be part of their response to the perceived threat of Secularization? Certainly it fits in with their 2000 year history of mass murders,

Free thinking American, You forgot about the Oklahoma City bombing and the bomb planter at the Olympic Stadium in Atlanta by a notorious clinic bomber and the Christian habit of planting a second bomb in abortion clinics to kill firemen. Not to mention the Inquisition, the Crusades and hundreds of years of Religious Wars in Europe.

Two things:

First get your facts straight. The Catholics who went around murdering people weren't Christians.

Second - the bombings are not ever done by Christians.

One more thing --- If you believe Christians really have done and do these things you don't have the slightest inkling of what a real Christian is and you need to find out before the day of judgment comes when you will be judged as you are judging right now. The difference is that you are judging without knowledge - God, who hasn't missed anything about your life to date will judge you perfectly based on all you will say, think and do in this life, and you will not be able to deny any of it.

Repent while you still have time.

His faith wasn't pronounced by means of fact it does not have something to with the shootings. He became into depressed, lost his job, his lady pal, and his parents kicked him out of the domicile. He reportedly had a drug and/or alcohol undertaking. He lost his innovations, and went on a rampage. there's a distinction between psychological ailment, and non secular terrorism - even with the indisputable fact that many have faith terrorists are nuts. Terrorists are making a assertion approximately their faith, or their ideals, commonly with the help of their faith, on an identical time as mentally sick human beings have diverse motives. they choose to be observed, or get revenge. they choose others to experience their discomfort. If his non secular ideals have been the clarification for his rampage - it could have been pronounced. If the guy had strapped on explosives and blew himself up in the call of God, or Allah, or despite - his faith could have been proper, because it could have been the motivation for his crime. yet it incredibly isn't the case with this adventure. The media is reporting this tale properly. It sounds such as you are the only with the subject.

lol. wow, you put a fire under some people here, didn't ya! There are definitely people who do some stupid and mean stuff in the name of Christianity, even though hurting people and killing is not what Christianity is about.

On an interesting side note, It's my understanding that Christmas was a pagon holiday to begin with, and the Catholic church chose to use that day to celebrate Christ's birth. Christ wasn't actually born on that day, and in several other contries it is celebrated on a different day. (wikipedia...)

1. There is no reason to assume that the person is a Christian.
2. What are you talking about, "2000 year history of mass murders"?! Besides the Inquisition (in which Christians were killed if they spoke out against it), the Crusades (and who knows who really started that one!), the witch hunts (good Christian women were killed during that, too, as well as men who spoke out against it), and "manifest destiny" when did Christians commit "mass murder"? The Holocaust doesn't count, because Christians were killed in that, too.

My friend, I thought you were more level headed and open minded then this. Because a few simpletons twist the bible to kill at abortion clinics does not mean you can blame the entire Christian religion. Just as we can not blame all of Islam for those idiots who gave us 9-11

There's no hint the guy was a Christian, what are you talking about.

Besides, if he murdered someone, by definition, he's not obedient to Christ's teaching to do unto others . . . is he.

Besides, christmas is NOT a Christian holiday, Yashua was born in late August or September, not December. I have no issues with it being refered to as the "holiday season" or people refering to a "holiday tree"

You are a rascal!
People who kill in the name of Christianity or any other religion have totally misconstrued the meaning of the words they have read or the teachings they have been taught. No true born again Christian would kill in the name of Jesus. That is a fecked up conception, you all lump us together, that's even more fecked up.

When I came home from Germany in the army, I flew out of Amsterdam on a 747 full of a Jewish group returning from Israel.
I was the only non-Jew and a christian. I sat next to a elderly lady of about 80 the tattooed numbers clearly visible on her arm.
A Hitler survivor. We talked briefly about Jesus ,her response was this, for nearly 2000 the rabbis have not yet come to a conclusion , I don't think we will be able to on this short flight. God and Christianity are under attack in the USA. And vonHillary will usher in socialism and all its ugliness. Today the Christian ,tomorrow YOU.
Maybe we might be bunked together at the extermination camp and can discuss it more , before our execution.

With the amount of information currently available why would you pin this on Christians?
Not only that but pinning the actions of one on a group of many is wrong and shows extreme hatred and ignorance.
