he is at least 2 years older than you. in high school those 2 years can be a huge gap. the people telling you to be careful are concerned because he is likely to be feeling alot of pressure from his classmates to have sex and freshmen girls are often talked into believing that in order to be accepted by the older classmen they must put out. i was one of those freshman girls who was taken advantage of by a junior football player. i was used and then discarded after i gave in to the pressure to have sex. it was a very painful and confusing situation to be in. i wish i could have gone into with my eyes wide open- that is why they are warning you. when getting into any relationship always remember to take it slow.

In high school, small age differences are a big deal because everyone is still maturing and at different stages and want different things from a relationship (especially older guys). The point is that your friends think he will only use you to get the things HE wants out of the relationship (most likely physical stuff). Since you are two years younger, you are most likely not ready for that sort of thing and will only get hurt. The thing about older guys is that they think they can use younger girls to get what they want (e.g sex) because they are obviously younger and not as experienced in that stuff.

My advice: just stay out of such relationships because its just too hard and you will probably get hurt. Also think about what will happen in a two years (if you're still together) when he goes to college and you're still a junior....

Actually, very recently a girl in my class (I'm a freshman too) was going out with a junior and they broke up in less than a week.

Dear Never Been Used,
The term being"used" that his junior might not be truthful as towards his real intentions for hanging out with you. Maybe other has have seen or experienced his aftermath of being with and younger classmen!
Sometimes an Upper classmen will take advantages of a younger classmen just because they know you aren't as experienced as they are. This could lead to doing things that you might regret later on. That' called "inexperienced". Remember this older people have already been at your stage in life and remember just how gulable being younger can be! It's your call here, if you choose to listen to all them other warnings, you'll save yourself from being hurt. If you choose not to listen, be on your guard and don't do things that you know are wrong or morally wrong for you to do. Only you can do that, cause you can't ever get away from yourslef not matter how hard you try!

He just wants you for a sexual outlet and most freshmen are initially over awed by upper classmen. A lot of upperclassmen take advantage of relatively unsophisticated girls because they can and they treat it like a game. Listen to the "many ppl", when he decides he has had enough fun you are going to be very hurt that he has dumped you and probably spread the word that you are "an easy piece".

"using" you means that all he wants out of you is sex. it has to do with you being a freshman because freshman tend to be naive about what goes on in high school, and you obviously have proved my point. i wouldn't get involved with someone that much older than you. trust me. he probably is just going to use you.

if you really like this guy, go on a few dates and see what happens. if everything is mainly focus on him trying to makeout with you or something (basically a lot of touching), then i would say he is most definitely trying to use you.

okk if wat their saying is true
it means that he just wants to use u for possibly sex, hooking up, connections, anythign like that
and u being a freshmann has a lot to do with it, because
1. freshman are easy [ thats wat the guys think, im not sayin anythign about u]
2. they werent in the skool for long so they dont know the history of that person so they wud go out wit anyone not knowing if before he used girls.... [ once again, this isnt always the case]
but yeahh, ppl think that freshmann dotn know anything, so they try "use" the freshman for their assets.

dont let it get to u gurl..

good luckk =]

Man, you really ARE a freshman.

To "use" someone normally means to have sex with her and then dump her.

What does it have to do with you being a freshman? High school kids usually dates people their own age or grade if they want a serious relationship. Since you are a freshman, he might think that you are naive and easly fooled.

First of All, JS A junior is older than a freshman. And she is the freshman, she is actually younger than him. I think they are saying he will just use you just to say it. Nobody knows what his intentions are. They may mean he may try to take advantage of you. B/c you are younger he may be able to convince you to do what he wants you to do.

it means he is too mature for you
give yourself some time to know him and understand what kind of person he is
don't rush into a relationship so quickly if its your first true love
