Recently I've started to feel a strange pain in the bottom of my foot. Every now and then it feels like there's a thorn in my foot, when there isn't, in which case it hurts to walk on that foot. Most of the time, however, when I walk it feels sore, and as if there's a rubber band on the bottom of my foot and it hurts a bit to walk. It's not an excruciating pain, but it's a strange feeling...I run a lot (after school, track, cross country...), in case that might help... Does anyone know what it could be?

thanks!

Hi best to make an appointment with your doctor, as earlier this year my food has been sore and it keep swelling up. But the doctor doesnt know what it is and is now sending me for blood test to check for arthiritis. You might have a fallen arch or something. You muscle might be swollen which is causing you vein to stick out. I know how uncomfortble it is to start a new job and have to wear shoes that hurt my feet, as i had just also started a new job and they had me running round like a blue assed flie but they didnt care about my foot. This was in February and the pain has spread to my ankle now. You dont want it to get any worse. I cant wear most shoes now. I would make an appoinment as soon as you can and then you will know what it is. Try taking ibuprofen for the pain.

get it checked by a doctor. I knew a guy when I was a paratrooper and he complained about foot pain just like that but we always hurt all over anyways so we thought nothing of it. It turned out to be a cancer and he lost his foot. He lost it cause he had it for a long time before he got it checked out. Im not trying to scare you, im just saying that if it lasts more than a week then to get it checked out. You really never know.

Possible irritation or inflammation of the plantar fascia (a tendon at the bottom of your foot.)

Well l would think you have been walking on it to much. Stay off of it until the pain is gone.

Go to webmd.com and type in plantar fasciitis. That may be it. Check the symptoms...

you may be getting small stress fractures in you foot, or your running on it wrong.
