The Doctor is going to have Donna Noble as his companion, with Martha, Rose and Captain Jack joining him along the way. So, by the end he will have 4 companions. Do doubt that there is going to be a huge twist at the end of the series, since there will only be 3 hour long bank holiday episodes in 2009, with series 5 in 2010. I reckon the doctor will regenerate in 2009. What do you reckon will happen??

Clarrisa: That's what I was thinking, but remember that his contact only runs until 2009. He may also want to do something new.

I don't think he'll regenerate just yet. Tennant is loving it too much, and one of the reasons they're breaking for 2009 is to let him have a 'holiday'.

Well, if you want a rumour, I've heard the name Davros being thrown around for 2008, but nothing is confirmed yet. Also, no one knows if the Jack storyline and Rose storyline will overlap or not. Add in the fact Rose might only appear as flashbacks... well, no one knows, do they. :p

Well we'll have to whate and see in season 4 of Dr Who to find out what will happen. But according to The Sun yesterday, 4 companions come to the Doctors aid after he is badly injured in an explosion the companions are Donna, Martha, Rose and Sarah Jane. Captain Jack may be in it but the BBC has not yet confirmed if he is or K9 to that matter. But dont read what The Sun has to say untill it is confirmed by the BBC.
The 2009 bank holiday specials, 3 in total may be the last episodes that David Tennant may do but that's also has not yet been confirmed by the BBC. So all i have to say is watch this space.

I don't think the Doctor will regenerate in any of the 2009 specials, since Jane Tranter (BBC controller of Drama) has strongly hinted that David Tennant will continue to play the Doctor in series 5 in 2010.

Also I don't think Davros will appear in the next series, since it looks like the Sontarans are going to be the main baddies.

I do think Davros is a good bet for a return in the 2009 specials though.

It's worth keeping in mind, however, that November 2008 is Doctor Who's 45th anniversary, so I certainly expect something big, if not in the series itself, then perhaps in a 45th anniversary special of some description.

I reckon a multiple Doctor story might well be on the cards. That is one possible explanation for the return of Rose. How about the 10th Doctor, Donna and Martha meet the 9th Doctor and Rose in a 3 part series finale?

I have heard that the last story will be a sort-of three parter (a bit like the Jacobi/Simm Master story last series). The story will involve the Doctor being injured and being rescued by Donna, Martha and Rose. I have also heard that Sarah-Jane, K9 and Captain Jack will appear in this story; as will Rose's mum and dad and Mickey all involved with Torchwood. The story is supposed to surround Davros (rumoured to be played by Ben Kingsley). In the last series there was only one Dalek left. I assume this Dalek joins Davros to try and recreate the Dalek Race.

Yeah, Rose may die as Caan said the most faithful companion will, though this is highly unlikely as the little kids will be distraught (like when Astrid died) and the Doctor would get depressed. VERY depressed. The Doctor isn't regenerated, David Tennant has confirmed as been in the Xmas and 2009 specials, and when you see him regenerating his face doesn't change, but when you watch Parting of the Ways the 9th Doctor changes quite quickly into the 10th. His hand will have something to do with it, as it keeps popping up over this series. Rose's mum, Jackie, and Mickey are going to be in next weeks episode, captured with some other people by the Daleks on the Crucible. Rose's alternate dad hasn't been seen filming though. This may have something to do with he didn't belong to our universe.

yep i reckon he'll regenerate at the end of 09 in a big twist to keep the fans hooked til the next proper series. It could well be the writers make it look like he's been killed or whatever !!
