No band names , no girl/boyfriends names. Pick something that is meaningful to you. Its yours forever. No armbands either, those are outdated!!!

The walls of your shop will have wonderful designs to choose from. Just think about it first!!!

Your two biggest problems are that you are only getting a tattoo because you are turning 18, but you have no idea what. Just wait until you absolutely know what you want. Otherwise you are going to pick something off the wall that tons of other people have.
Second, if you are that poor that you are selecting a tattoo according to price, it's another big mistake. Wait until you have enough money to get something really good, from a good artist. Your arms not going anywhere......

I would wait. I mean if you wanted a tattoo on your 18th birthday you should have been thinking about months ahead instead of waiting at the last minute to ask people online. You want something nice and that your going to love for ever, not something cheap that you'll get covered up next year. Wait till you think about it and get more money.

not to reply to be an a**hole like these other people are acting but truth is that if you have to ask for a design then you honestly dont need to get a tat they are meant to create the fact that you are an individual not to mention you get an image on your body that was someone elses brain child you will regret it now with that being said i have 7 and regret none except 1 and that was my very first one and yes believe it or not it was on my 18th birthday do the research also go to a local henna shop have them airbrush one on you to make sure you can live with it these dont go away without alot of discomfort and money make sure it is what you want

Happy Birthday

well if you'd like something "trendy" or w/e you'd like to call it then i suggest your zodiac sign with to small stars on the sides of the sign but not as if there were a straight-across line connecting them, but a straight-diagonal line.

Oh, and black would probably make it cheaper, and try to NOT have the stars shaded or colored in, go for just the star outline, and i suggest the same thing for the zodiac sign. It would be nicer (i think) and also not as "trendy" or over-done.

anything else, i cant suggest since i do not know you, and i couldnt suggest something simple that you'd like..use your imagination, reach for the stars sorta..but im sure you can think of something better then a total stranger could..best wishes and plz remember to choose somehthing you really like, since it will be on you forever.

godwin, I'm a firm believer that if you don't have a specific thing you need to have tattooed on your body for the rest of your life, then you're not ready to get a tat.

Whether it's a design or words, your tattoo should be something of real meaning to you, not something suggested by strangers at YA.

Get a tattoo with an old English script that says "I am 18 years old." Better yet, put in on your forehead.

Remeber it is forever. You want something that will grow with you in age and not something that will hinder you personally or professionally...especially not something you will be ashamed of later. I know you didn't ask this but definitely put it somewhere you can hide it with clothing...like upper arm, back shoulder, etc.

Just make sure that whatever you get its something that you can live with for the rest of your life. Also make sure that it doesnt go below your sleve. You never know what type of job you might have in the future.

my cousins both got crosses, theyre totally not religious, so it shows that tattoos that arent thought out are not good tattoos. think on it for a while, something you love will come to you
