There are such things called testosterone poisoning. It's not an actual poisoning but more of a stereotypical ones. An excess of testosterone creates aggressiveness. Although testosterone may have behavioral implications, the use of the expression testosterone poisoning is more of a metaphor than a scientific concept. Testosterone is not poison in any meaningful sense of the term and there is no scientific evidence to suggest that it is ruining society. The evidence linking it to human aggression is largely correlational, and does not prove cause and effect. Testosterone is actually a natural and normal chemical found in the human body.
Another side effect when taken excessively, is that there's a possibility of going bald, male **** becomes smaller, lose eye brows, etc.

Sounds like you are more interested in weight loss and diet than martial arts. I would get a personal trainer to set you up with a regimen that includes martial arts classes like "cardio kickboxing" or "tae bo". These aren't fighting arts, but they are good for weight loss. In a Martial Arts gym, a typical beginner class at any school will be 1 hr per week 2-3 days per week. This is most definitely not enough for weight loss, especially considering that you will be learning the very basic stances, punches, forms, etc. A different, but good approach is to join a boxing gym. You can typically jump in a little quicker, and the initial focus is on cardio training and conditioning...which translates into weight loss. Whichever you do, you'll need to do long workouts at moderate intensity as opposed to short, intense workouts. Longer workouts will help you burn fat. Diet is not something that is typically addressed in boxing or martial arts gyms, so you'll be on your own there without a personal trainer.

I would recommend both of you do some research on the side effects and decide if it's safe. Just remember, rage is a very real thing in relation to testosterone. If possible, try to do it naturally. I tried The Testosterone Advantage Plan (book) by Men's Health. It's a natural way to increase it. It worked for me along with weight gainer and heavy lifting. Good luck to you both!

If your husband is increasing his reps and lifting he is doing his training in a safe way. Taking testosterone when your levels are not abnormally low can be dangerous and in fact can make the testis shrink in size. Other side effects include fluid retention, acne and erythrocythemia and liver problems. Not a good idea to self diagnosis or play around without medical supervision. More is not always better.

The sarcastic answers are great!!
Unless a doctor presribes them for legitimate medical reasons then he needs to man up and work hard like everyone else to get in shape.
The karate and lifting are great lifestyle choices, but there seems to be some desperate rush to get in mega shape and to gain fighting skills. What event happened that created this urgency?

DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO!
Weight training alone has been found to naturally increase the body's growth hormones.
Along with martial arts, he will be optimizing his health.

If he is going to start on the test I would advise taking a yoga class, because sooner or later he is gonna have to kiss his *** goodbye.

Tell him to just man up and get on the juice. He's obviously got a little-man complex or something.

I hope you like big boobs and small nuts, cause your husband is going to have both. If his dumb *** can't figure this out without coming on Yahoo Answers, then he doesn't need to be taking this stuff.
