These are too very elite groups, and do some of the most dangerous work out there.
But they do differnt types of missions?
Like what?
I thought they did the some of the same types of missions. Like direct action, gurrilla warfare, unconventional warfare, and reconnaissance.
Can someone explain.
thx

The seals don't get involved in training other military units on a scale that the GREEN BERETS do. They might do some demolition classes but these are short term type missions. Mainly used to help establish credibility.

Seals are more of the --Go in, get the job done and get out--in short amount of time.

Green Berets are have many of the same missions but they are mostly---go in-setup, establish trust amongst the indigent disgruntled groups and train them to fight against the bad guys. But they also have the short missions too. But it is more of a secondary type role as compared to the main role of the seals.

Both have been used as reconnassance for strategic reasons. Both have been used to attack targets behind enemy lines..

Delta is like the seals. only they tend to be ONLY GO IN GET THE BAD GUYS AND GET OUT.

Army SF are better at taking a rag tag group of fighters and turning them into a formidable force. IE the Al quida in 1989 to defeat the Russians. SEALs are more for demo and coastal operations. i mean thats the big differance then anythign else. they do basicly the same missions

SEALs do recon, shore clearing for marine operations, spying on the enemy etc.

The Army special forces are contact forces. They train or coordinate with allies because they can speak their language. Examples of what they are doing now include the Iraqi and Afghanistan forces, running around with the Ethiopian forces in Somalia calling in U.S. strikes on terrorists and meeting with all the Iraqi and Afghanistan leaders. They also contact enemy forces to get those forces to surrender or negotiate.
