What food was the Breeder feeding? I'd go back to that and see if he'll eat. You want Kayro syrup (not pancake syrup, but they're in the same grocery aisle) they recommend this so the pups blood sugar does not drop.
Try lamb or chicken baby food, warm it up a bit. Also try warming the canned food up as well or try dry food with a little warm water on it.
You can try boiled chicken or boiled ground beef and rice, this is gentle on their stomachs as well. How long have you had him? If only a day or two, he may still be getting used to his surroundings. Keep the food down, and he should get hungry enough. Don't let him go too long though without eating.

Throw away that food it is bad for your puppy especially a small breed puppy they have special needs. I went through this with my Yorkie. The syrup thing, they say give small puppy's syrup to get their blood sugar up most smaller Yorke's are hypoglycemic but you do not give them dark syrup only clear Caro syrup. And only if he is showing signs of low sugar, you rub it in their gums. It is not a good Idea to feed them people food because it taste better than dog food, so they will learn to hold out for the people food. My Yorkie would not eat and I tried lots of food and what worked for me was the Nutro ultra holistic soft puppy food in the little packets. My suggestion is to go to your local pet store like pet co ,or pet smart and try some different foods try and stay with the good quality. No grocery store stuff, Yorke's have to many needs. Most of the pet stores will let you bring the food back if your puppy does not like it. Nutro foods are guaranteed. Good Luck

First of all, a nine-week-old puppy should be eating puppy food and nothing else. He is a dog, not a person, and he should be treated like a dog. Pancake syrup and lunch meat is ridiculous, especially for a puppy or a small breed adult dog. Smaller animals have a small pancreas and liver, and rich, foreign foods are difficult for them to digest and can be toxic to them and cause serious health problems like pancreatitis.
If he's acting normally and is very active, there's nothing wrong with him. Give him puppy food such as ProPlan or Eukanuba, and he'll be fine. He'll eat when he's hungry, and he doesn't need vitamins or any other human intervention unless he shows obvious signs of illness such as weakness, refusing to play, vomiting, etc., in which case he should be taken to the vet.

Oh my, oh no, absolutely not. Throw away the Caesar's, the Mighty Dog - and a big NO to the pancake syrup. That is the worst thing I've ever heard.
Go to your local pet store. Get a natural healthy food such as Innova, Evo, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover, Canidae, or even Nutro. And please, don't listen to one more word about nutrition from those people.
Do not feed your dog table scraps or treats at all. If he doesn't eat his dog food within 2 minutes of you putting it down, pick it up and wait until next mealtime.
Get advice from your vet about what to do re: the dog's blood sugar. But don't train your dog to be a picky eater.

Well, first off I can't imagine a good vet recommending mighty dog, as it's a low-quality grocery brand food. Switch to blue buffalo, or Eukanuba. You might also want to add some water to the dry foods and allow him to try it when it's moist.
And get a different vet. Immediately.
EDIT: Puppy food is not absolutely necessary. It will not die if you don't feed it puppy food. But either way, switch to a better brand of dog food. (the difference between adult food and puppy food is about 4% more protein..which isn't much and isn't necessary if you are using a premium brand)

hmmmm...... 9 weeks old....
thats kind of young.
Most resp. breeders what atleast 10 -12 weeks.
First cut out the cheap crappy dog food.
second find a new vet, anyone who would recommend mighty dog is crazy.
Third never buy from a backyard breeder.
If he takes the vitamins then thats great, he probably just doesnt like the food. (i dont blame him)

Wow... please find a different vet and ignore whatever the breeder tells you. Get him on a high-quality puppy food (Innova Puppy is a great option). Stop catering to him. He doesn't eat his food because if he doesn't, then you will supplement it with "human" foods. Give him his food, after 20 min, take it away. No more food until next feeding time. A healthy dog will not starve itself.
