5 pounds in general is easy eat junk food and don;t exercise
5 pounds of muscle is harder I would suggest a bulk up supplement such as Creatine and work out.

Go the nutrition store and buy protein mix. Safe, no steroids and made to bulk up muscle. Be ready though. it tastes like dung.
