Violation of probation?

If someone who was put on 2 years probation for grand theft (it was a laptop, that was returned the same night, but plaintiff decided to press charges) and then fails their 1st drug test after being put on probation & was put in jail.. how long will that person be in jail?

The judge can decide anywhere from time served to balance of original term. Plus they might file new charges or extend the probation.
