My parents are really nice but my dad works at nite and my mom gets home late and my dad sleeps till 8:30 and thats my bed time an my mom gets home and all she does is lays on the couch. we really never have dinner as a family. when i get home from school nobody helps me with my homework i am not allowed to have playdates. I dont always eat dinner every nite. I think I need glasses and I asked my mom to make an appointment at the eye checker and she says shell get to it and she never does. They are so nice but dont pay enough attention to me they dont starve me but i cant eat dinner every single nite cause no body can make it for me. I have a cat and a laptop that made me happy but they think thats all I need. Im afraid to tell them. PS sorry i wrote so much

Ohhh sweetie, I am so sorry that your are home alone a lot. Ask your mom to buy you meals that are easier to make or ask her to pre-prepare you dinners that all you need to do is heat up. As for the glasses, go in and speak to your nurse at school. She can give you an eye test and give you reason for your mother to be concerned. As for homework- go in to school early or stay a little later with the teachers. They will be able to give you some assistance if you need help with it.

sigh*... there's so much to say for such a loaded question.
First off, I'm glad you realize how much your parents love you. They seem to be very busy, stressed, or a combination of other things. Try to be patient with them and continue to ask them for help. Don't lose hope and stay strong! Wish the best of luck for you and your parents.

Hon, if you are in NEED of something (like food) tell your mom you are hungry... if she is "nice" like you said, she will get up and fix it....

i can't believe you are neglected.

if you can't see well, talk with your school counsellor... maybe she can help you talk with your parents... when we don't see well, it's really difficult to read, learn and observe things.... so seek the help you can.

Don't be afraid to talk to your parents.... your mom and dad are RESPONSIBLE for your WELFARE and if they are too dumb to feed you when it's dinner time, or get you glasses, you need to take steps for change.

sorry you're having a hard time.

Depending on which country you live in. You may be able to contact a Govt Welfare Department like ' family services' or department of community services. and tell them this story, Also you can contact your school counsellor and talk to them about it.
I hope it gets better for you
Cheers

why odnt u sit down and try talking to one of them about how you are feeling,if not them then an older relative? someone at your school? a neighbor? they appear busy, really busy, but they wont know if you dont let them know.whats the worse that can happen?

best of luck to you.
