I just curious about all the hype on lead being in all these toys. If there is lead in them then I guess there is lead, but I could just imagine how harmful toys etc. was when I was younger. Are toys being made of different plastics or whatever from back in the day? or are we just checking on the health risk of toys more thoroughly today? I would like to see some solid proof that thing are worse now then they once were 20,30,50 years ago.

there probably was but not as much as they say there is now, we are scared of a growing China and we can't do anything about them except show that they are inferior because their manufacturing has allowed lead in some toys. The Olympics are coming you know and china is spending billions they should be spending on their people on building super futuristic buildings whilke displacing millions of poor. We have more modern ways of testing for things but never underestimate the politics of things.

Probably. Lead was a common ingredient of all paint only 20 years ago. Which is why many old houses have to be checked for lead paint before young children are allowed to live there.

I believe that things that had lead in them is overrated. In the early seventies they became so lead focused. There was lead in paint and gasoline, but a lot of us turned have turned out alright. My Grandma, my uncles on both sides lived with lead, and coal, and they all lived to be in their late eighties and nineties. Most of it is Liberal garbage.
