Why do so many women think pepper spray is a valid response to a compliment?

Typically I would compliment clothing, or well proportioned eyes. Maybe a nice hair-do. One woman I did tell she had nice, well balanced rack...that one I probably did deserve.

Lol, if that is a picture of you, pepper spray should be the least of your worries. Sorry, but the facial hair gives you a crazy or creepy guy look. (or a Russian sailor) I haven't complimented a woman yet that has pepper sprayed me, but I don't go around saying things like: nice ****, or using corny pick up lines (as if there is a such thing as a not corny pick up line) to random women on the street and think that it is really a compliment. If you are saying what you think is a compliment, and the response is an extreme defensive measure, you pissed them off not complimented them. (unless it was a friend of yours trying to show you that they got pepper spray to defend themselves on those long dark walks home after work, and accidentally sprayed you, that would be pretty funny) The good news is, pepper spray is something that you can condition yourself to and after you get yourself sprayed a few times it will not have the debilitating effect it did the first few times. The other good news is, they aren't pulling guns on you, that tends to have a much more lasting effect. I wouldn't put it past them though, my girl is going to be packing as soon as it is legal for her to, You might want to change your approach towards women...

I'm thinking...if women use pepper spray when given a compliment, they must have a valid reason to use it. Maybe the person was being a pain in the butt and using pepper spray was the only way to get rid of him.

If a guy tells me I have a nice rack, I don't get offended.
I'm really just an ordinary size on top, so I actually feel good if a guy notices "them."
And honey, I would never pepper spray you, as long as you keep your hands to yourself we'll be fine, but sense you're armless just keep your legs away. My husband may have heart problems but a month ago he did take off running after so nut and pinned him to the ground even though he was in the middle of heart attack.
That and he's Italian.

really depends what the compliment is, but however nasty or nice the compliment is, it is simply not neccessary to use a pepper spray in respond, it's like whatever people say to you, it will be your wrong to physically attack them, and using pepper spray to me is just the same if not worse.

That all depends on the "compliment" being dished out. For instance, if you walk up to a random woman and tell her her head would look good mounted on your wall, pepper spray is probably most apppropriate. :)

It's their deep-seated insecurity issues, man. We're just so damn good looking, it's intimidating. If they pepper spray us today, they avoid the inevitable heartache of getting dumped by us tomorrow.
