Endoscopy tomorrow and on fluid diet - I'M STARVING!!!!?

HELP!!! I'm having and endoscopy done tomorrow and I'm starving. I'm supposed to fast all day today so my stomach is empty and I really don't want to have tomato soup all night long. Any thoughts?

PS This is being done to find out why my stomach is not digesting food properly and I'm losing weight.

i know this anti what u want to hear but drink lot and lots of water so much u feel like u r about to puke drink so much water u cant even think about eating

drink lot and lots (if your stomic is full of water it dose not have the need for food)


[remiber u can go 3 days with out water and 30 with out food ] so drinking water may wrok as a substitute for foood


and keeping bessy dose not hurt

I was on a liquid diet for 2 weeks after i had surgery, and i couldn't stomach tomato soup, i actually really liked the canned pea soup from Campbells it was really good. Also i was told that Jello as long as you swish it around in your mouth is considered a liquid, and that can be more filling than just soup, other than that you might want to try flavored water, Vitamin Water is really good, it comes in a ton of flavors.

hi. that's really normal. in fact it didn't need to take that long.
It normally applies for about 8 - 10 hours prior to the endoscopy. Else, just play with your saliva. I am not kidding. It is vital for your true causes. You may want to sleep now so you'll be prepared for tomorrow's activity and so that you'll forget the hunger. I pray for you and hope it goes well. :)

She's right...take your mind off of it. You can't eat anything b/c the doctors don't want you to poop on the table. I'm having a colonoscopy next week and I can eat jello but it has to be orange jello. Look up and see if you can eat that.
