You should definitly be fine. Make sure you have plenty of "chaseable" toys (fake mice, catnip balls, glitter balls) that she or he can chase around. Keep in mind cats and kittens sleep A LOT so there's a really good chance that it will be sleeping for the majority of time you're gone and not even realize that you're not there.

Well, they made a movie on what can happen when a kitten is left home alone. Oh wait, that was about a young boy. Seriously, the most important thing is to make sure your place is child proof. Just like a human baby will explore and can get into bad things, so will a kitten explore and could get into bad things.
You didn't indicate how old, but I am going to assume at least 12-14 weeks, as that is common for a new kitten. They can do fine being left alone, as they will alternate turbocharged play with sleep. Have toys like furry mice, and even paper wads to entertain your kitten.
Be sure you have a non-tippable source of water. Often, a small shallow baking pan works well. Dry kitten food will be all right, but wet food cannot really be left out for many hours at a time.
A companion kitten often works very well, but only you can determine if that is a viable solution.
As your kitten gets older and bigger, having a window to look out, and perhaps a cat tree to play on is really valuable.
I would also have two litter boxes; some cats prefer to do one business in one litter box, and the other in a different box.
What you described as far as being away does not give me any pause or reason for concern. I would want twice a day checking until your kitten gets older, then at least once a day is sufficient.

cats can look after themselves. Just get a long stick with a piece of ribbon on it and tie it to a table or something to keep the cat occupied. You can also leave a big bowl of food out. Cats are not dogs, they won't eat it all at once. Oh and water.
I had a new kitten, I had to go to work..they are fine, believe me. They are a much better pet to have if you need to be away during the day than a dog..they don't give a damn if you are home or not :)
Some other small toys such as a ball of yarn, or a other things they can chase are good as well.

To solve the problem of him being lonely, get two...... So long as a cat has enough water, they can be home alone pretty much all day - even if you were there they hardly notice you!! But with a new kitten they have to be indoors for a week, so make sure to shut the door when you go to work on the first week....

This happened to me. I got a kitten, then while she was relatively young, I got a job that had 12 hour shifts. I lived alone. The kitten did not get sick or hurt, but she did get quite lonely, and she soon was able to tell when I was leaving for work and tried to coax me to stay home. You need a 2nd kitten. Two cats are less trouble than one, believe it or not.

A kitten must be left at domicile all on my own for variety of two finished days! only make confident it has a fabulous variety of nutrition, water, sparkling clutter packing containers and a few toys. make confident they are risk-free from chemical components and different volatile issues. If that's a threat, get somebody you recognize and believe to envision on the kitten each and every as quickly as and a on an identical time as! you additionally can choose to contemplate getting a playmate (yet another kitten) for the kitten. they could play with eachother and save eachother corporation, only make confident they get alongside!

You don't say how old the kitten is, but if it's been weaned, had it's shots, and is left in a "safe" (no wires, yarn, rubber bands, etc) room, with food, water, and a litter pan, she should be fine. Until the kitten is "used to" your home, keep her confined to ONE ROOM while you're not at home. They can get into trouble/lost/hide and be very hard to find, if they're able to "roam" the house alone. Give her a cuddly toy, to sleep with, and other toys....small rubber ball, or something else SAFE......NO YARN, STRING, or Christmas "tinsel"!! Hope this is helpful.....Good luck........

I wouldn't leave the kitten without someone for longer than 8hrs.
Just so it can have some interaction with someone and some affection.
Your work hours sound fine, so don't worry.
As long as the kitten has food, water and litter tray near by, it'll be fine.

She will be fine.. She is still trying to adjust to her new world around her.. Most cats and kittens are fine by themselves for days.. Dont concern yourself with it so much.. You are doing fine.. She will not get lonely.. Kittens do not have that problem like a puppy would

If you trust that the kitten isnt going to ruin anything or hurt itself, you can probably work as usual.
If the kitty cannot keep itself or other things safe, you may want to work around it.
Some kittens are a handful, some arent.
