Why is it that creationist theories are found posted on web sites--but I've never seen anyone in any peer reviewed journal. I've seen plenty of pseudoscience on these web-sites but never anyone from those sites with enough integrity to publish in a scientific journal. PS you can't use the excuse that scientific journals won't publish creationism--if the science is accurate and no holes can be found in that science--then any journal will publish. (Try Nature for a first outing). So why don't any of these creation scientists publish in a recognized journal? If the science they are attempting to publish is true--then don't you think the support and weight of the scientific community would be a blessing?

They try, but they “work” is so non-scientific (for the simple reason they have no scientific evidence) and their general scholarship is so poor that they fail to meet even the most basic professional standards.

And you are right: if any graduate student found evidence that contradicted the theory of evolution, they would drive over their own mothers to get the information published and to the public. Anyone with such evidence would go straight to the front of the Nobel line and would be the most famous scientist in the world—and their discovery could arguably be considered to be the greatest and most significant in the whole history of science.

And, I do know what I’m talking about. I have published on my own research in, among others: The International Journal of Climatology; Global Change Biology; Climate Dynamics, and The Journal of Climatic Change.

No and no scientific evidence ever will. There is already adequate evidence to accept, beyond all reasonable doubt, the theory of evolution. If I was a creationist I could just say God put that fossil there. Even now there some creationist out there saying, "yeah, exactly, what's wrong with that?" What's wrong is that's not science and trying to have a scientific debate with you is meaningless because you're not arguing in the realm of science. Making conclusions like that is utterly meaningless because we're not making any discoveries or gaining any knowledge about our world. It's just attributing everything to God and we get no where. I think God is pretty upset that a large proportion of his followers are denying themselves the greatest wonder of his creation, evolution.

Because they are journals of Science, not Philosophy.
Anyone presenting a 'scientific' theory must have some sort of evidence. Not only is there no evidence to support creationism, there is overwhelming eveidence disproving it.
There would no more be a creationist article than there would be a flat-earth or terra-centric solar system arcticle.

Creationism is far from being reputable. It is not a theory at all, for a scientific theory is supported by much evidence after years of research. There is no evidence at all in favor of creationism.

Good point. And you never will. Science wins because of the evidence as we know and understand. Creationism is based on the intangible. Science is based on the tangible.

Of course my husband has argued (mom believes in creationism, showed up in his science class to discuss her beliefs) that no one knows how long a day was back then.

Creation is not a theory, it is the truth. That is why you will not see creation theories in a journal. You may come across creation truths in journals. One that springs to mind is Creation Magazine which is a publication of the Answers in Genesis group of ministries.

"Why is it that the creationist theories are never published in reputable journals?"
Cos creationist theories, intelligent design, GODDIDIT has NOTHING to do with science and EVERYTHING to do with religion.

Why would fake scientists with shoddy research be published in real journals?

Creationist theories AREN"T TESTABLE. It's just an assumption that's unprovable.

They can't, because there's a massive worldwide conspiracy among 10's of thousands of scientists to prevent it from happening, yet we know that Jesus must have risen from the dead because otherwise it would have required a conspiracy of over half a dozen people.

What does that say about reputable journals?

Do you believe everything a person that has earned a degree says also?
