God doesn't exist. The bible was a complete fabrication of acient swindlers in an attempt to make money. I have been trying to pursuade people around my town to believe this but I am having mild difficulties. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people who agree with me, but does anybody have any suggestions on how I might convert more people?

God exists as a neurological product of the brains of those who believe in it. The bible is an invention of ancient people whoe wanted to organize a religion to get people together. They knew exactly what they were doing. But bloody hell it worked!

God does exist, you think this way because you do not know God.

The Bible is the most advanced Psychological Text Book ever written, should you understand it, it will guide you and awaken you to a relationship with God.

The Bible was never sold for hundreds of years but was closely guarded and its guardians shared in the power of the Spirit, healed the sick and brought happiness and joy into people's lives.

Selling the Bible and having mass rallies is a sign of the misuse of scripture, yes, to make money.

But do not let those that misuse the Bible to 'get rich' deceive you into thinking that God does not exist.

That is a deception that millions of people fall for.

You will only succeed in 'converting' fools - but you do not even understand the meaning of the word 'convert' so that is a whole other subject altogether.

You haven't really thought this through very well.

Do you even know how the Bible was written? 40 different individuals over 2500 years wrote different parts of the Bible. If you were to actually follow the teachings of the Bible, you could never swindle anyone!

The Bible is about moral purity, and you obviously don't have any!

Jesus, who truly existed in history, said that people refuse to come to him because their deeds are evil.

Jesus said that if you REALLY want to know if his words were from God (implying the existence of God), then OBEY THESE COMMANDS (refer to the Sermon on the Mount), and you SHALL know."

To any HONEST enquirer, the test is plain and simple. To the mocker, skeptic and scoffer, no "test" would ever be sufficient to demonstrate God's existence. God said that He hides Himself from the proud, the arrogant, the mocker, the skeptic, et cetera.

Bottom line is, you don't believe in God because you don't WANT to believe in God, plain and simple, because if you had an open mind, and if you were not a narrow-minded bigot, you would take Jesus' challenge and find out for your self that Jesus truly IS the Son of God.

Now, the ball is in your court. Will you deliberately choose to remain ignorant of the fact of God's existence? It's on your own head if you reject Truth. (Jesus said "I am Truth.")

I agree with your beliefs (or should I say, "lack of"), but many people don't. Just as you don't want Christians coming to your door offering you bibles and prayer, religious people don't want to be told that their beliefs are a scam.

The way I think of it is this: many people need religion to get through life happily. Many people cannot handle the harsh realities that atheism reveals...no afterlife...no heaven...no big guy on your side...etc. etc.

Many of my family members are very religious, and I would never convince them to be anything else. If they are happy, I am happy.

Be the bigger person and leave folks alone!

Why are you going to try to convert more people? And why would anyone want to believe what you believe? If you think thats the truth, then keep it to yourself because everyone else has what they think is the truth. Let them think what they want to think, just like how we are letting you think what you want to think. How do you know what you have is the truth anyway?

Are you so concerned with persuading people to believe in what you believe because your faith in what you believe is so weak that unless you can convince enough people that what you think is true, you can't believe it yourself? Sounds like it to me. Sounds like desperation to me, too. People of real faith have no need to convince anybody of anything because they know what they know is true and doesn't depend on anythiong anybody else says or thinks. People of no faith need the illusory strength in numbers to compensate for their fear of having to face a truth that may reveal their false assumptions.

Instead of trying to convert people, try to convince them that there is nothing wrong with your beliefs and nothing wrong with them believing in theirs. After that we may not be the least trusted minority in America.

you shouldn't try to convert people! >:(

i'm an Atheist, so i don't believe in any of that either.

but it's none of your business what others believe. there's nothing wrong with religious people. they may not be able to prove that God really does exists, but you can't prove that He doesn't either.

Just let people be. You trying to convert people to your beliefs is no better than Christians trying to convert you.

Only the weak need to convert others in order to avoid their own doubts.
