Wolfechu: That's funny. I can see why you would think that.

"R&S" is a short-hand of Religion and Spirituality -- this category.

Gorgeous: Even though I know there are Christians who say things like that, don't you think that's kind of stereotypical?
I consider myself a Christian (or more specific, a Christ-follower... but that's a whole different story), and I don't speak like that.

Tsubaki: Your sister needs to examine herself. It's no wonder we Christians are constantly being called hyprocrites. I'm not saying I'm perfect, but goodness... I feel for you having to put up with that.

Jesus has the answer for you. "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world the world would love his own, but because you are not of the world but I have chosen you out of the world therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I have said unto you; the servant is not greater than his Lord; If they have persecuted me they will also persecute you, If they have kept my saying they will keep yours also." John 15:18-20
Hebrews speaks of those men and women of God who went before us as "strangers and pilgrims" on the earth.
We are like emmisaries from a foreign country sent her to represent God to those who don't know Him. There are some who will be thankful for the message we bring, but most will not as evidenced by the words of scripture saying:
"Strait is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to eternal life, and few there be that find it, but broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many go in thereat." -- Jesus --

Most don't hate christians. They hate the sterotype of what they have been told is christian. Most christians do not act this way. I bet most atheists are not as immature and maligning as those you see posting about the christians here. I pity the people on both sides who have dropped to the level of hate and name calling. We can disagree without being disagreeable. It is the civilized way. And if you are christian it is God's way.

I have not taken any polls about such matters. In my observation, whatever people sow, they reap. Some people who claim to be Christians are filled with hate and tell outrageous lies about people who do not share their beliefs. My oldest sister is such a person. She sits in church and pretends to be so righteous 3 times a week, and then she says awful things to my kid sister and me. She has also stolen from us, slandered us and tried to blackmail and even kill relatives. Where is the love, indeed?

I'm just here to try to keep Christians honest. I see too many lies being told by so-called Christians about biology, chemistry and astrophysics.

I don't. I do hate their mysticism though. Its like how Christians hate homosexuality, but not the actual gay person.

I would say that "hate" is too strong of a word to represent R&S attitude.

It may have to do with the fact that when people go online, they leave their sense of decency behind.
