I think it's sad and ridiculous that they are bending over backwards to be PC.

No, if you remember anything at all from just about any US History class, you would remember that the US was colonized for religious freedom, as in being able to worship GOD in any form, not just the British way... God is what this nation was founded on. Plus, it would be really expensive to pull out all current coins and bills to replace them with new ones...

Does it matter? I mean seriously, money has the same value nontheless. It doesn't bother me one way or the other. Besides "God" is a noun, not a name. If it makes you feel better, "God" can be nature, your god/desses, the Hebrew god....etc...even the fricken laws of physics. The term "GOD" is simply a generalized word for something above us humans. Whatever that is to you, great.

I believe it's a step to remove it completely. Hope they don't. But anyway it will still spend the same.

I think they should have removed it entirely. The 2005 Harris poll placed those who believe God actually exists as less than15% of the population of the USA.
Apparently the USA trusts in God much less than the religious fanatics wish to believe.
Em, it is only a historic tradition since 1954.

It shouldn't be on there in the first place. It's NOT a historical tradition. All that"In God We Trust" business happened in response to peoples fear over communism. It's was a part of the House of Un-American Committee and McCarthyism.

It's a step toward removing it and I find it very annoying.
It's a historical tradition. Our motto, I mean. I don't think it should be removed...

It's simply a design choice... No hidden meanings, why read something into it when there's really no reason to?..

I think it would be nice if we took our currency off the God Standard and placed it back on the Gold Standard.

I don't care if it's there or not. Money only has the value we humans give it... outside of that it's fancy paper.
