so there's this guy that does varsity swimming with me for my high school. We are pretty good friends and we just met at the beginning of the swim season. So we joke around alot and smile at each other alot. At last weeks practice he like pushed me in the pool then i like splashed him and got him freezing. lol it was just a joke he didn't do it 2 b mean it waz funny.
then he also comes up behinds me sometimes and goes boo. We also talk alot and say hi to each other in the hallway.
hes a really great guy... but i'm confused. is what he doing flirting. or just being funny. and wat would b flirting?? sometimes i probably flirt and i dont even know it. examples!?!?

I think that the guy likes you if he focuses all his time on you. He seems to be putting an effort into trying to make you happy

Yeah he is flirting.
Sometimes guys will do funny things to get a girl to look at them. When he pushed you in the pool and you splashed him back, yeah you were flirting too.
But nowadays people say talking is flirting. Sometimes it is, but if you dont want to send the wrong signal, watch your body language

Sounds very much like flirting. If you like him then just hold eye contact with him and smile, or touch him a lot when you are talking (on the arm...), since you guys swim together you can just whistle at him next time you see him in a speedo - he should get the hint quick!!

Yeah thats a hard thing to tell a difference.
When a guy is being funny, its not as extreme.
Flirting is being funny and hitting on you. If he pushed you into a pool thats flirtting.
If he wanted to be funny he would probably tell YOU to push HIM in.
Yeah i guess its sorta hard to tell the difference. I think this guy def likes you.

That would be flirting. Because someone flirts though doesn't necessarily mean they're wanting to ask you out. Keep it light and just see where it goes. Keep your head above the water too.

It depends how old you are I guess, I mean if your young this could be his way of flirting, but to me it sounds like you two are just friends and thats how he views it. But, you never know try throwing little hints that you like him and see how he responds.
