what?
ok, i just tried it and that is strange, but Yahoo! was not created or ran by muslims. the founder is either christian or jewish, so i don't think it is something personal against christians

The answer to your predicament is clear; Christian, Christmas, and Christianity are proper nouns and are therefore capitalized always--regardless what any spell checker indicates.

christian

Christianity

Muslim

it made me capitalize the two that are capitalized. as someone before me said, and which was just proved to me, "christian" is an adjective, not a proper noun, whereas Christianity and Muslim are both proper nouns.

someone needs to become less uptight. what happened to that good christian humbleness that you just have to have yourself capitalized?

oh wait.. Christianity has become part of capitalism enough already, hasn't it..

Because christian is an adjective, Muslim is a proper noun as well as an adjective. You can have a christian rock, but the religion is Christianity.

Are we feeling paranoid and insecure today? I doubt that Yahoo! Answers is bashing anything relating to Christianity.

It prompts me to capitalize the word christian most of the time. Didn't do it this time though.

Why don't you just ignore the spell checker and capitalize it yourself?

It's because you are saying christian rather than Christians.

muslim Muslim

christian Christian

Spell checked all 4. It corrects lower case muslim but not christian. It's probably a political correctness thing run amok.
