I've been trying to learn about Wicca and have been given a book for teenagers (I'm 33) by my brothers girl friend who practices, she said this book puts it in simple terms. Are there any other books you recommend to read or even websites to visit? My interests are purely personal and spiritual.

I recommend Scott Cunningham's "Wicca for the Solitary Practioner".
Laurie Cabot's "The Power of the Witch" and "The Witch in Every Woman" are good.
Dorothy Morrison has a good book as well for beginners.."The Witch's Book of Shadows".
I'd advise you to steer clear of anything by Silver Ravenwolf.

Kallan, VT has some very good suggestions. Scott Cunninghams "Wicca for the Solitary Practioner" & "Living Wicca" are very good. He puts things in very simple, direct terms. His "The Truth About Witchcraft Today" is also very good. I also like Ann Moura's series on Green Witchcraft. i forgot about Phyllis Curott. She has 3 out that are very good. the first one would be really relevant for you as it's about her discovery & journey into Wicca:

I can recommend "Real Magic" by Issac Bonewits. It is still the definitive text for Wiccans to teach or learn magic. :-D
And, of course, "Drawing Down the Moon" by Margot Adler.
And "The Triumph of the Moon" By Hutton.
