where are good places I can do community sevice?

I am applying for a bright futures scholorship and I have to have 75 hours of community service to get the full ride so I was wondering what places are best to do this at? please help.

you can do it at a hospital, nursing homes, libraries, or if u have a recycling or like environment volunteer services u can try that, or at a church or at a lunch box

If it is for a scholorship then you will probably need to be involved with the charities like the red cross, united way, salvation army, service groups like that if you can, if you have this summer then you could do Project Noah in New Orleans or Habitat for Humanity is there to. There is a number of groups in Mississippi also. Samaritans Purse and WorldVision do a lot over seas, also St. Jude's Childrens Hospital is also a great one, good luck and I hope this helped.

One place is if there is snow on the side walk in front of a place of business, offer to shovel and put salt on the entrance way for them. Or in your own neighbor hood , there is always older people that can not shovel there driveway or sidewalk, you could always just shovel it and go on your way ,chances are they will be waiting for you to finish and offer to pay you. Go to the hospital and offer to visit the children and play games with them after you have checked with the head nurse of course first. There are a lot of high rises for the elderly and they have to carry groceries sometimes up seven floors to their apartment even with an elevator it is still difficult for them to get their groceries out of the car and to their apartment. Or just go in places and offer to do any thing they need done for your community service scholorship. Pin a note on the bullitin board at the grocery store or other place and offer to help do house work for people that are handicapped and unable to do the heavy work any more. I am elderly and I would love for some young person to offer to clean out my car inside and out because I am unable to do it my self any more because of my handicap. There is plenty of things out there just get out and start asking people if they need any thing done for them for free, and most times they will give you some thing for just offering to help or doing any thng like mowing their lawn or sweeping off their side walk, God Bless you and I pray you will be the answer to someones prayer .
