I replaced the bulbs, checked the fuses under hood but they still do not work. The other symptom is that the Brights or High Beam indicator on my dash is lit even when I do not have my switch set to High Beams.

9007 and 9004 and 9003 bulbs all look the same but have to be wired differently. Make sure your car has the correct bulbs Check the fuses under the dash too! next thing is the combination switch. Good Luck.

could possibly be the switch itself, as high beam light is only switched off of switch.

sounds like you have a short in the switch....buy a new switch and plug it in...if thats not the case then go to the dealer because you fried one of your wires internally....

Sounds like you could have a cut wire or loose connection. Have you check fusebox?
