Your dog may have heartworm, you should get him tested,or risk losing your pal. I'd do it pretty quickly. Good luck, heartworm can kill a dog very quickly. The test is not very expensive, however I had a very good Lab treated several years ago and that was a bit more money. Things may have changed by now.

As an aside..It is very dangerous to throw sticks for dogs. Better a ball on a rope!

well you could take him to the vets or else maybe change his diet slightly. we had some working dogs that could hardly run and we took it to the vets who sudgested buying working dog food and it helped a lot.
i guess it changes about the age and type of dog though so it might be wiser to go to the vets!!!!

TO THE VET! First of all, you haven't mentioned how OLD your dog is: a puppy, prime of life, elderly? Secondly, it sounds as though he could have a heart problem. Stop screwing around and TAKE HIM TO THE VET!

Take him to a vet. It sounds like it could be a respiratory disease.

It would help to know how old he is. If he's old, then he could just not want to be that active anymore.
