Muhammed is a prophet in the religion of Islam--Not the GOD of Muslims--that would be ALLAH!

The truth is that the religion of Islam has many cross overs with Christianity and the Jewish religion.

Judism has been around for about 4000 years
Christianity for about 2000 years.
Islam for about 1200 years--Muhammed was born about 800 years after the death of Jesus. He founded the religion of Islam and is considered it's Greatest Prophet.

The interesting thing about Islam is the fact the it considers Jesus a prophet and his mother Mary is mentioned several times in it.
Also the God of Abraham, is also the God of Muhammed Which means that Allah is in fact the God of Jews, Christians and Muslims.

it's a small world--even in amongst the major religions of the world.

The problem is that some idiots think that one view should exist at the expense of all the other religious views, (or lack of religious views for you atheist out there.)
This has given rise to the Radical Islamist of the world who would have you beaten about the head and shoulders for saying that Muhammed is God.

Because there can be only one God and his name is Allah in the eyes of the religious zealots of Islam.

Well, they would be either misinformed or just not saying what they actually mean. He is certainly the most revered MAN in the religion, because he was the prophet and the herald of all that the religion holds true. However, the GOD of the Koran is Allah. Mohammed saw him as his, thereby further backing the fact that the prophet is not the god of them.

when you're best you've gotten to note that in accordance to the Quran that God speaks arabic. Arabic did identifiably divide from different Semitic languages till on the earliest 8 bc, and that is not any longer even the Arabic of the Quran. If a majority of those were Prophets of God and hence should be Muslim, they ought to have spoken His language to which they did not. no one is conscious the language that Adam and Eve spoke, Jesus spoke Aramaic (which has been shown by ability of scrolls and different texts of the time), no longer the Arabic of the Quran. examine a e book.

Because they are wrong. Allah is the god of the Muslims. Mohammed is his prophet to whom Allah supposedly dictated the Koran. Mohammed was a poor, illiterate camel driver who it was believed could not possbly have dreamed up the Koran by himself, therefore it had to come from God(Allah)

Those people are likely ignorant... VERY ignorant. Most of what you hear anytime, like the call to prayer, the Shahada (declaration of faith), simply says (in English): There is no god but God and Mohammed is His messenger. "Messenger" told to recite by an angel. In Arabic: "Ash-shadu an la ilaha illallahu wa Muhammadur rasullah."(This bearing witness is the FIRST of the pillars of Islam, so I don't know how anyone could twist it around any worse.)

thank you for clarifying that because I am so tired of all of these ignorant people that go around thinking and telling others that Muhammad is a god. Allah means God in Arabic, alot of ignorant people don't realize that either so I'm gonna make sure to clarify it because the worst thing is having stupid people spread information about a subject they know nothing about.

This is totally wrong. I believe in one God ( Allah). Every thing else, including prophets, are his creation

Because that's what they believe. Do you know all that there is to know about Shinto ? How about Jai ? Can you name the important gods of Hinduism ?
The same reason that non-Muslims don't know much about Mohammad ( peace on him ) .

The same reason they think Jesus is the God of the Christians. He's not either, He's the son of God who died to save us (John 3:16). And for anyone that does what it says in Romans 10:9-10, He is our Lord. Not our God.
