I don't think there is a need for Jesus to time travel, for Jesus died for the Sins of Man; past, present, and future. Forgiveness does not undo the sin it just accepts and moves past it. I don't think Adam is in hell, he believed in God, just disobeyed God, don't we do that regularly?

Sure He CAN but He won't. God gives us choices, Adam and Eve made theirs and we all live with the consequences. Also, I'm sure He did forgive them.

He did go back and preach to those who died in the flood during the time of Noah....

18For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, 19through whom[d] also he went and preached to the spirits in prison 20who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built.
