God was not made, He has always been. That's why His name is, "I AM".

The Islamic belief about God/Allah is that he is uncreated.

What does that mean?

Everything in the world is created in need of space and time to exist. And everything here has a beginning and an end.

So God has no being nor an end because he is uncreated. God does not need anything to exist unlike creation who needs God to exist.

When people try to understand God they to use what they know about the world around them and then apply to God.

This does not work because is unlike anything else. Its like a television tring to understand man. How can it? When it was not created to do that!

I hope this makes sense. Please contact me if it doesn't.

"Who made who, who made you?"
AC/DC...

God was created by man not the other way around. The sooner we all begin to understand that may be then we can all get some sleep!

Edit: How far do we take this who or what made the the who or what that made God. Who or what made the who or what that made the who or what that made God, who or what...

oops nearly forgot *drink*

According to the Bible, he always was and always will be.
Yet, if you want the popular belief we created God and the Bible as a way to "chase our own tail" / give us a purpose in life.

Trust me when I say that without people who believe in God, the world wouldn't be so sweet. Don't blame all which is wrong on God, that is nothing more than the truth bleeding out more truth. In the end of this existence, we shall know nothing more and nothing less than the nothing that exists.

It is hard to comprehend due to the fact that everything has a a begining and has an end. In the case of God it is said he has no begining and no end.

We cant comprehend it in anyway shape or form, because it isnt nature to us. Therefore, faith is what makes you believe something so uncomprehendable.

if i tell you that a friend of mine who's name is john (who is a man) was admitted to the hospital and he gave birth to a child. was it a boy or a girl?

( the question is illogical . he is God because he is uncreated)

God is the only one that doesn't have a maker, hard to for humans (us) to comprehend something like that becasue EVERYTHING we see had a maker of some kind.

By definition, God is one who has within Himself sufficient cause for His own existence without any prior cause. Even one of His names as recorded in the Bible means that. He said "When they ask who sent you, tell them 'I AM THAT I AM' has sent you." to Moses.

For God to be God and pre-exist this MEST universe (MEST = Matter, Energy, Space, Time), He must transcend both space AND time, and the only way He can do that is if He exists in eternity.

To ask who made God implies that God is NOT the above-defined God.

But if you ask who made God, then you have to ask "Who made the maker of God" and again "Who made HIS maker", et cetera, ad infinitum, ad nauseum, thus begging the question.

God said that He is eternal and infinite. Like I said, He transcends both space AND time, because if He WERE MEST, He would be part of this universe, and as such, He could not have created that which He is part of.

I pray that this gives you a clearer understanding of God, and that by receiving this as though it were a revelation, you would be hungry enough to seek out the God of the Bible for yourself, because He said that if you seek for Him, then you would find Him, if you would search for Him with all of your heart, and "I will be found of you", He declared through the prophet Jeremiah.
