Well, i guess there would be no more problems for the one who did it. But alot for those left behind that cared about this person, grief, confusion, false guilt, alot of things happen when we lose someone, less then this tragically and unecessary act. I think, there is always a better solution, it is a matter of if the person wants to really get help. I always hope and pray they do.

No more ANYTHING.......it's OVER. You're DEAD.
It's a stupid decision. It's not like you're going to know in your mind "hey I did it, no more problems!" When it's over, it's OVER FOREVER. It is a senseless death. Problems come and go...it is a part of life. Deal with it. Get counseling. Move away and make a new start. Change your life. Change your perspective. Do what you have to do to be content.
Suicide is selfish. There are people in this world that love you and would be devestated for the rest of the lives because of your decision. How many people do you want to hurt?
My life has been filled with problems, but I am determined to beat them. If by chance they end up beating me, at least people will think of me and say "That girl tried hard to make it. She didn't give up."
I strongly suggest seeking professional help if you are thinking about suicide. It is never, ever a solution to a problem, and there isn't a problem on this planet that you can't overcome if you persevere and seek a real solution.
Take care and be well.

If you have a terminal illness with intractable pain, maybe - MAYBE - suicide is an OK answer.
But if you are actually willing to kill yourself, you ought to be able to do ANYTHING to improve your situation. You can always kill yourself later but dead is the ultimate loss of options, forever. And if some of the religious types are correct, it could be far worse than being alive.
Fear - of trying something radical, of really doing something to resolve your issues or problems; depression - the belief that the psychological pain will never end; anger and rage that's being pointed inside instead of where it should be directed; or the illusory belief that killing yourself is some kind of revenge and will make the bad people in your life feel guilty and sorry. These are some of the things that can be at the root of suicidal feelings and thoughts. All of this can be worked through and/or treated.
Think how warped someone's thinking has to be to believe that death is a better answer than dealing with your problems. There are always better options.

This answer is assuming you mean suicide due to mental reasons or because life is "unlivable" -- rather than someone's way out of an incurable terminal disease.
There may be no more problems for you, but your family, friends and other loved ones are in for devastation and a lifetime of "hell on earth." For me, the love I have for my family and friends outweighs any problem that I might have that could even remotely lead to suicide. I wouldn't do that to them. Besides, while life may seem futile at the moment, things can and do turn around -- you can fix the problems in your life (even if it take some time and great effort). You can't fix dead -- once you make that decision, any hope for a brighter future is gone.

It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem. When it's over, no more anything. Sure, no more problems, but also, no more joy, love, happiness. No more friends, family, lovers. Above all, no more chances for things to get better. Ask someone's grandparents about all of the changes they've seen in their lives, then ask yourself what you'll be missing. Imagine what may change in your own life that would make it worth living. Cures for diseases, new medications for mental health issues, new friends, old friends, family, love. If you really want to die, don't worry, the one guarantee in life is that you'll never get out of it alive. If you're really miserable, at most, you'll only have to put up with it for a few decades, and it would be most unfortunate to miss out on something that will cure depression a few short years from now.

If you're thinking of committing suicide by jumping off a cliff, always bring an umbrella... you might change your mind halfway down. lol No seriously though, I would NEVER commit suicide, EVER. Even if you feel like no one would care, there's ALWAYS at least one or two people who would miss you soo terribly, and think about the heartbreak you would cause for others. You'd be missing so much by just throwing out your life

No one has ever died and come back to tell us that there are no more problems after death, so there is no way to answer this question.
Personally, I think suicide is related to mental illness otherwise no one would put their loved ones through this horrible tragedy. I have been personally touched by suicide and it was the most tragic and sad funeral I have ever been to. My Mother in law adopted a young boy who at the age of 15 hung himself.....it was an absolute nightmare and one of the darkest things I have ever had to deal with. No, its not an answer, its a tragedy!!

That's such a selfish act. The people who care about you are going to suffer for the rest of their lives because of that deed.
On a more spiritual note, most belief systems say that the soul of a suicide suffers for the action. How it suffers varies according to the religion, but when so many agree...makes ya wonder.

My best friends boyfriend committed suicide. It took her over 3 yrs to get over it (move on and date again) and his family never got over it. She still doesn't like to talk about him, because it makes her so angry. He didn't care enough about himself to live, but everyone thought he loved his girlfriend. I guess not - if he did how could he put her in so much pain, guilt, resentment and anger for so long? I guess he didn't really love his family because they struggle with it every birthday, every holiday, and every special occasion. He may not have thought about anyone else, just his issues. But in the end that was the most selfish thing I think he ever did.
