You either have a broken ignition switch or a relay that controls your ignition remains in the "on" position. Next time you need to start it, don't actually put in start mose "with the starter engaged) Just turn ignition switch "on" and "off" and listen for a relay that clicks somewhere under the dash probably; it's probably getting stuck on, or remains "energized" by a bad signal either internally ( the relay itself) or from the back of your igntion switch, that's not really turning "off" Good Luck!!!

Possibly the starter solenoid is stuck closed and keeps restarting it. You would need to replace the starter in that case.
