What if right after Hitler took poison and it started to affect him to the point of no return, he started repenting and asking God for forgiveness for all that he had done which was a sin, would that mean that he is in heaven now?

If there is no scriptural support for death-bed repentance, then how about the sinner on the cross next to Jesus?

I doubt that he is in heaven. Why, because of his own comment.

He stated that Christ Jesus can't be the Saviour of the world because He was a Jew.

Could he of asked for forgiveness before he died? Sure! But I doubt it.

A catholic newspaper in Spain wrote the following on the day Hitler died:

“Adolph Hitler, son of the Catholic Church, died while defending Christianity. It is therefore understandable that words cannot be found to lament over his death, when so many where found to exalt his life. Over his dead remains stands his victorious moral figure, with the palm of the martyr; God gives Hitler laurels of victory.”

Hi,

When I was a kid in Sunday school I was strictly correct by a nun for saying Hitler must be in hell. Only God knows and can say that she said. Deathbed confessions or even baptisms have been done and accepted; starting with Constantine.

I would think that putting a bullet through your head would only give a millisecond of repentance time. If Hitler had mental or psychological problems which caused him to take his particular route in life I am sure God would take that into consideration. Anyway the long and short of it all is that there is no sin (other than against the Holy Spirit)*** which is not forgivable and even on your deathbed.

*** This sin is not that clear as mentioned in the bible and is still debated by many theological experts from being suicide to blaspheming God or saying his works are done by Satan

There is no scriptual support for "death bed" repentance. The bible is full of examples of people who were repenting when God came to destroy them, but God would not hear them. The God of the bible isn't all that forgiving, if you take the time to read it. Jesus didn't say you could live a life of evil and then say you are sorry...I think it's conventional belief, but it isn't supported in the written evidence.

Haven't you ever read the Bible? God don't accept last minute repentence, a whole life of evilness cannot be mended with a few seconds of repentence, specially not him.

Besides that, he has to be judged for every single thing he did in his life, just like everyone else before entering heaven 2 Cor 5:10

I think in Hitler's case God would have made an exception to his own rule. I think he busted hell wide open, along with the millions of souls that he sent there by his war.

He shot himself in the head right after taking poison so I really doubt he had much chance.

He would still have to be held accountable for his actions. A gee I am so sorry doesn't cut the fact that millions were tortured to death! God isn't stupid!
