I agree with the first answerer.
He will not be completely honest and anyone who has studied or read up on the Mormon religion will know he's not telling the truth.
Mormons don't believe in the trinity. They believe Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three separate gods. They also believe that Satan (Lucifer) and Jesus are brothers.
For many years they taught that black people were cursed from prior transgressions. However, I think they backed off this teaching.
I do know, they still teach good Mormon males will grow up to be gods of their own planet.
They have many strange teachings.
What I question most is the founder, Joseph Smith Jr. He could not be trusted with earthly matters, let alone spiritual matters.
He couldn't remember exactly when, were and who appeared to him. He changed his story, four times...and having to translate the "golden tablets" that he found in a top hat. Yea, I don't think so.

No he will explain his beliefs in terms of what they have in common with mainstream Christianity and not delve into what is underneath them that is different. Like when they say on here that they believe in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost (note not spirit). They do and that way of explaining it makes it sound like they believe just as mainstream Christians, but they do not devulge that they believe they are three distinct and separate beings or that God (the Father) was once a man elevated to deity status. nor that Jesus himself is God but instead an appointed redeemer that was only a part of a council of heaven, not a deity. Or that the Holy Spirit and the Holy Ghost are two seperate beings and the Holy Ghost (who is the one that is part of the Godhead) is limited to a physical form. This is why Romney will not delve into it to far, because it no longer sounds like what people view as Christianity.
OR the Church will change their beliefs like they did when Mitt's father was running in the presidential primaries in 1979 and was asked about black people not being allowed to be members of the LDS Church (after that question the prophet/president had a revelation to allow black people membership).

this isn't a rustic of Believers. this is a rustic of Freedom of religion. the final public faith would not get to make regulations in accordance to faith, although the final public faith has the most voters. even as this is time to get elected, you bypass for the communities that could want to provide the votes. even as this is time to bypass regulations, you establish they are no longer unconstitutional. position self belief in Freedom of religion and also you'd be basically positive, no be counted what the pols carry forth to the lots.

I did research on the Mormon faith. It is the same as other religions except it has a twist. Like all other religions that have a twist. You can not eliminate a single one of the religions. They all believe in God the Father, Jesus is the Son of God and the Holy Ghost. From Catholics to Mormons and all of the others between, they all have the same belief system in Jesus. Just because I do not agree with your religion does not mean a thing. That is the reason I love the Holy Father, His Son and the Holy Ghost from my home. I do not have to deal with all of the doctrine that is not located in the Bible.

Boy have you heard lots of misconceptions about the LDS faith! I hope he will approach many of those to help many people understand a little better.
But if he doesn't may I suggest looking up some of the Mike Wallace and Gordon B. Hinkley interviews where these misconceptions are quite directly addressed just for your own education.
best wishes

I think Mitt is going to gloss over the more "creative" aspects of his religion and try to tidy up the LDS and make it fit into a nice neat little "Christian" box to make him more palatable to voters. I don't think he will be able to do it, but it will be a hoot to watch! I don't think we are going to hear anything about Kolob, Jesus & Lucifer as brothers, secret seer stones, and Moroni the gold plate giver. They are trying too hard right now to align themselves with "American Christians" in order to get the vote, but since many Christians still consider the LDS a cult, don't think it's gonna go down as easily as they would wish.

After watching his embarrassing attempt to dodge the bible question on the YouTube debate, it is clear that he is going to avoid discussing religion if at all possible.

Well, after reading your inaccurate understanding of the LDS church, I really hope he DOES explain it. Perhaps then there won't be such widespread ignorance about it.

No, he's going to jumble up his convictions with what the mormon church expects him to say. This whole thing is a farce.
