Little Bear, however, is permitted to run around just as naked as the day he was born. In winter, he appears to wear a scarf, but nothing else.

I'm concerned.

It is symbolizing freedom. All the kids usually have one thing on the turtle has a hat and shoes only I think. The parents have to be adults and are always confined by work and having to run the household so that is what them having to wear clothes mean they are always confined.

personaly i think that the reason for little bears absence of clothes is due to the fact that little kids growing up dont reconise that they have clothes on untill they gett uncomfy, but then that why when they get oulder they start to put pieces of clothing on them and if thats not really the answer then mybad

Ha! Thats funny! I have thought the same thing. Some of the kids on "Backyardigans" don't wear clothes either. It's strange.

he's a nudist. The author is teaching children that it's okay for people to be nudists.
